Streamlight TLR-RM1 Weapon Light Review

I recently came across the Streamlight TLR-RM1, and I must say, it's a compact light that truly delivers. Boasting a 500 lumens bulb, a 10-year shelf life, and a strobe function, it felt like the ideal companion for my black rifle. When I first held the TLR-RM1, its small and compact design immediately stood out. I even considered mounting it on a pistol, but its design and length didn't quite fit my Chiappa Rhino. Nevertheless, it seemed perfect for my long rifles. Installing the TLR RM1 was a breeze. It attaches similarly to many gun lights I've used before. I appreciated the option to use a button switch or a remote switch, which can be attached to a foregrip or another section of the rail. Operating the TLR RM1 was straightforward. It has a lockout on the lens, allowing me to disable the light when needed. The strobe function, which can be activated with a series of taps, seemed particularly useful for self-defense situations. Diving into its specs, the package comes with the light, a remote switch, and all necessary mounting hardware. The TLR RM1 is 3.2 inches long and weighs just under five ounces. It's powered by a CR-123A lithium-ion battery that boasts a shelf life of 10 years. Plus, it's ambidextrous and fully waterproof. I decided to test it out on a DPMS SBR bb gun. Indoors, it was perfect for room clearing, providing ample illumination for target identification. Outdoors, it performed well up to 30 yards, but beyond 50 yards, the illumination dropped significantly. For those needing more range, I'd recommend the TLR RM2, which offers 1000 lumens. There were a few things I loved about this light: its ease of use, intuitive operation, and the strobe function. However, one drawback is that it's not designed to be detached and used as a standalone flashlight. In conclusion, the Streamlight TLR RM1 is an excellent tactical light. It's designed with military and law enforcement in mind, but it's perfect for anyone needing a reliable light for nighttime operations. The design is user-friendly, making it an easy and intuitive choice for firearm enthusiasts like me.

Very good ar 15 laser light combo with pressure switch for an affordable price. The laser remains zeroed from one shot to the next, the light is bright, and it has a small footprint overall.

I was looking for a budget-friendly way to mount an ar15 laser light combo, and this filled the role. I’ve had an abundance of experience with high-end lights and lasers that take up a bunch of rail space, and dictate or complicate forward hand placement. This combo is compact, easy to activate without a pressure pad (I bought it with the pressure pad set up, however after mounting, I discovered it wasn’t needed as the unit is easily activated without it - again, less clutter on the rails) and provides plenty of light for the close quarter's situations my rig is set up for. Using the green illumination setting on my dot scope, the contrast of the co-witnessed red laser makes target acquisition fast and sure. Bottom line - it does exactly what I need it to do, period. Streamlight, you’ve won me over again.
