What's impressive are its features. The adjustable butt pad caught my eye immediately. Given my height of 6'5", the adjustable length of pull is a game-changer for me. The cheek riser's adjustability, multiple QD locations, and the monopod option are all standout features. On my CZ457, I noticed a custom collar tailored for the rifle-length buffer tube I'm using. A word of caution: I mistakenly over-tightened it initially, so be wary of that. The QD on my rifle is reminiscent of an AR setup, and the spring mechanism for adjusting the length of pull is smooth and intuitive. The monopod feature is a neat addition, and the dial at the end of the stock lets you set presets for your length of pull. The butt pad's vertical adjustment is a feature I've come to appreciate, especially being the first stock I've used with this capability. Functionality is paramount for me. While I don't frequently shoot from a bench, I do more so with my .22. This stock ensures a consistent, flat recoil from various positions, be it prone or a leaning stance. It's perfect for the unique and varied positions I find myself in during NRL shoots. The adjustability is especially crucial given Minnesota's fluctuating temperatures and the varied clothing I wear.

I recently installed this fab defense raps stock on my DMR AR-10 build and have been very satisfied with its performance. One of the standout features is the removable cap at the bottom, which allows for the attachment of a monopod. The construction is solid and there are four QD mounts in total. It fits snugly onto the buffer tube and comes with three adapters to ensure compatibility with various buffer tubes. I used it with a 6 point adjustable tube and had no issues. The cheek riser is positioned in a way that does not interfere with the charging handle. In my opinion, this product is a great value and outperforms more expensive alternatives. If you are having difficulty getting the stock onto the buffer, try starting with the adapter at the beginning of the tube and attaching the stock before sliding it down the rest of the way. Then, insert the screw to secure the adapter to the stock.

I recently added a 308 caliber rifle to my collection and was disappointed to discover that finding ammo for it has been difficult. However, I was able to quickly install it on my Diamond Back AR 10, which came with a great stock and accessories. We plan on using this rifle for long-range shooting, and the modern features on this new stock make it feel like a sniper rifle. It has a cheek riser and a butt stock that pops out to a preset position when a switch is flipped, as well as a rail at the bottom for a second bipod if needed. While these features may be more than I need, it's better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. I was impressed with how well this stock performed at the range. After sighting it in, I was able to group five shots within the diameter of a soda can at 100 yards as quickly as I could pull the trigger. Installing it was also a breeze - I simply removed the standard stock, placed the proper collar in place, and slid the buttstock onto the standard buffer tube, tightening everything with the included Allen wrench. Fab is known for making high-quality furniture, and this stock is no exception. It gives my rifle the look of a precision rifle without having to change the chassis.

I received three different mounting plates with my kit and was fortunate enough to choose the correct one on the first try. It installed easily on my Diamondback DB 10, which is an AR 308 DPMS style rifle with a high profile handguard. I'm not sure if my DB 10 has a commercial style buffer tube or if it's mill spec, but I think the mounting plate options can be seen in the picture. I can imagine that if I had selected the wrong mounting plate, it would have seemed like the stock would not fit.

This stock is a good choice for those looking for a fixed A2 style stock. It is similar to the Hera and Magpul PRS, but it is the best option for me. Many of the people who complain about fit issues do not understand the differences between commercial, milspec, and A2 buffer tubes, or they are unwilling to admit it. It is important to do your research before purchasing. If you have a rifle length gas system, an A2 stock is the best choice. However, if you have a carbine or mid-length system and want a long fixed stock, this may not be the best option for you.

Great precision AR Stock, I looked at lots of adjustable cheek riser stock. This is great !! Would recommend this to anyone building a PRS AR. Great addition to any AR. Goo for using scopes with tall rings! Gives you. Good cheek weld. Try it you will like it .

Fab defense is the middle-of-the-line price with top of line quality. Very functional stock with excellent quality. The stock has a little weight but is great for balancing out a front-heavy gun. My only complaint would be that if you have the length of pull in between detent ribs the lever will not go to the latched position.

My kit came with three different mounting plates- happen to get the right one on the first try, and mine was installed easily on the diamondback DB 10, which is a AR 308 DPMS style with the high profile handguard. I can see that if I had picked the wrong mounting plate, it would seem like the stock would not fit. I don’t believe I have a commercial-style buffer tube in the DB 10; I would guess it’s mill spec. I think you can see the mounting plate options in the picture.

The Raps stock is an excellent AR stock for someone interested in a fixed A2 style stock. The Hera and Magpul prs are similar, but this is a perfect option for me. Also, most of the people here complaining about figment issues don’t know enough to know or won’t admit it, but they don’t understand the differences between commercial, mil-spec, and A2 buffer tubes. Do your homework before you buy. Idk why anyone would go with anything other than an A2, assuming you have a rifle-length gas system. If for some reason, you are running carbine Or mid-length and want a long fixed stock, I don’t recommend this for you.

This stock looks great and works. Very easy to put on the gun. The cheek slide is a little stiff to adjust, but sure it will be fine after a little wear: a little pricey but good quality.

This is an incredible rifle buttstock. I’m currently using it on a 20” AR10 with a rifle-length buffer tube, and it works perfectly. Previously I had it on an 18” AR10 with a standard mil-spec buffer tube, and it worked great with the included end plate adapter. The only thing I noticed with that configuration is after 100-150 rounds; it would begin to slide back ever so slightly a few MM until it caught on the lower shoulder of the buffer tube. However, with the rifle-length buffer tube, it’s been perfect and hasn’t moved at all. The riser is easily adjustable and makes getting it to the perfect location a breeze. It has a rail on the bottom for a monopod, but I haven’t used it. I love that I can lock all of the adjustments into place, and it will automatically spring back into that position when I release the latch. If you’re on the fence between this and Magpul’s rifle stock, try this one first.
