Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 FFP
When you're ready to step up your long-distance game, the Vortex Strike Eagle gives you more of the tools you need for less than you'd expect. Start with excellent edge-to-edge sharpness, and add a first focal plane (FFP) illuminated reticle for fast reads at any magnification and lighting situation. Add in our RevStop Zero System for a hard return to zero, and locking turrets for fast, stay-put adjustments. Build it around a 34mm tube that accommodates massive amounts of elevation and windage travel, and a throw lever for rapid magnification changes, and you've got a long-distance impact machine that'll have you wondering how you ever shot without it.

I would purchase again
Out-of-the-box quality and craftsmanship look great. It's huge but for a good reason. Still building firearm, it's going on reason for four stars. The reticle is busy but should not affect anything. Learn the scope and reticle, and you should be golden Turret clicks are crisp and sharp. Not mushy It's going on a 6.5 Creedmoor build

I have four other scopes, and this one is the best by far! My shots on target are sub-MOA at 100-300 yards and a tad over MOA at 600 yards because of this scope
Strike Eagle is Fantastic!
The MRAD reticle is the best to have for precision shooting for me, nice glass in this price range. Very surprised and glad I made the purchase.

Strike Eagle 5-25x56 review
I bought this because it offers a lot of features for the money. 1) It has a very usable range of magnification, 2) a sizeable main tube, 3) a first focal plane reticule. I put this on a .22lr rifle. 25x is high enough power for bench rest type shooting. 5x is low enough for about anything else. I do a lot of .22 shooting, both for fun and competition. On a twenty-two, the scope does not have to take severe recoil, but I am sure it can handle it. It is ruggedly built. As with all FFP scopes that I have looked through, the reticule is quite faint at low power but just right once you get to about 10x and higher. It seems to me that the subsequent development on FFP scopes will be a dual reticule system, one that is thick enough at low power to be seen but still thin enough at a higher intensity for precision shooting. It is only for that reason that I gave this four stars and not five. The controls require some effort to move. But I suspect this is to keep it water-proof and from leaking out the inert gas that is in it or letting outside air in. I would prefer that it not be made in China. I don't want to get all ballistic about politics so that I will keep this about quality. Goods made in Japan tend to be much more consistent than those made in China. I travel to both countries (and many others) quite a lot and know this from experience. That said, I can not complain about the quality of my particular Vortex scope.
Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25x56 ffp is a Great rifle scope
I've had this scope on my 338 Lapua, a 6.5 prc, and currently, it's on a 300 win mag. I've only had it for three weeks! It's a great scope. In comparison to the pst, gen ii 5-25x 50, everything about it is as good or better. So far, I've shot it to about 950 yds. It tracks perfectly. So far, I've let four guys shoot with it, and all four say they are ordering one.
Vortex Strike eagle 5-25x56 review
I am totally enthused with this scope! I shoot long range, which I consider 500 and beyond, scope is clear, bright and crisp at any power. Track's perfect throughout all adjustments. While I will probably not use it, the illuminated reticle is amazingly clear and doesn't blur, no matter the setting. Shot in many low-lite conditions since I have gotten it; the bell and the tube diameters aid you in this. Exquisite Vortex perfection!
