Customer Ratings & Reviews
great value ar15 scope
I picked one of these up for an AR -15 build. I really like the 1 x for both eyes open and quick engagement. Sighted in at 50 and then tweaked it a bit at 100. The rifle holds 1 MOA with decent factory loads from federal and PMC I then cranked it up to 8 x and busted 6-inch plates from a elbow-rested hold as fast as I could get the target. Got high fives from both sides of the bench. This is a great value and I Am sure it will hold up under abuse I will put it through the lightest 1x8 scope available
Excellent AK and AR Scope
Excellent scope for the price. I order two for my AK and AR rifles. Images look clear, and eye relief is pretty good. It's hard to beat this scope for the price. I've compared it to other entry to mid level short range scopes, and this Strike Eagle came on top with its features and quality. It already comes with a throw lever from the factory, which is a great touch.
Very impressed
Very impressed with this Vortex! Glass quality superseded older models, the average weight for a 1-8 (16.5oz). The reticle is clean, not overly busy, and the affordability put this scope high on my list. Backed by Vortex's industry-leading lifetime warranty, you really can't go wrong with the new 1-8 Strike Eagle.

Fantastic Vortex 1-8 strike eagle
I put the 1-8 strike eagle on my new AR I just picked up; the scope is as you would expect from Vortex. Excellent clarity, and the reticle is fantastic. Exactly what I wanted.
My Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 review
Excellent glass, slight distortion at the edges at highest magnification. Small field of view at high magnification, as expected. Etched reticle, choice of red/green illuminated reticle. Removable lever for quick power change. Great price - comparable to the more expensive Shepherd I run. Buy it.
Got my Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 for sale at MSP
I have 4 Vortex Strike Eagles 1-8 scopes. The quality, clarity, and durability are exceptional, each one of my scopes is set at 200yds, providing instantaneous acquisition from under 25yds to beyond 500yds.
Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 Review
This is a very versatile optic. I use mine for CQB and mid-distance (700 yards). The glass is extremely clear, and the adjustment is smooth. I added a throw handle to the optic ring to make faster adjustments. The eye relief is perfect when used with the Vortex mount or one similar. After trying mine, two fellow shooters purchased this optic also. And yes, it’s true, my very expensive ACOG is now neatly stored in my safe. This Strike Eagle just gave me far more options with NO settling for less. If your fussy about your equipment and need to save dollars while your at it, this is for you. You won’t be settling.
Very accurate
I put this Vortex strike eagle 1-8x24 optic on one of my DPMS Oracles this past summer, and out of the box it was dead on at 50 yards, I then walked it back to 100 yards, and it was zeroed. I have never had a scope that did not need any adjustments out of the box so I was very happy with that. The reticle is great for fast target acquisition and the magnification is great throughout. The illumination is more fashion over function IMO but this is a fantastic scope overall for the price along with the Vortex warranty. You can't go wrong with this scope.
Big Upgrade
This replaced a 1-4x scope that was significantly bigger and heavier while giving my 7.62x39 AR-15 a much better optic. Easy to zero after being locked into a one-piece Aero Precision lightweight mount. I generally buy Leupold, but the Vortex strike eagle 1-8 was the right choice for this rifle.
Great 1-8 Scope
I've have the strike eagle 1-8 mounted on a custom 6.8 spc upper. Between plenty of range time and a trip to North Texas hunting pigs/coyotes, it has seen enough action for me to say it functions flawlessly. For the price, I am very impressed with the quality of the glass, and it holds its zero. My only complaint is the illuminated reticle does not have an "off" position between the brightness settings. Otherwise, it's great!
