I installed this light on my AiRsoft rifle, which is slightly larger than 8 but smaller than 10, with a short barrel for the pellets. The light is mounted on top, resulting in upside down printing, but it still functions effectively. The amount of light produced is a good balance between compact size and sufficient illumination. It may not be enough if your primary usage is outdoors, but indoors it's a suitable amount of light. I chose this light because it didn't require an additional wired button, which would have taken up too much space on the short rail. The button is positioned on top of the rail, making it easy for me to turn it on and off with my middle finger while maintaining my grip. The light has two button options, and I prefer the more narrow buttons with a nearly 90-degree bend at the end. I mounted the light as far forward as possible to minimize shadowing, with my MBUS Pro backup sight located behind it. Although the lamp body can barely be seen through my Holosun 510 main sight with a small riser, I believe the compromise is negligible.

I recently installed the TLR RM1 light on an AR-15 pistol for law enforcement purposes and mounted it on top, rather than below the barrel. It sits below the line of sight of my top-mounted red-dot, and does not obstruct my 45-degree offset iron sights. During an incident, I was thoroughly impressed with the light's ability to illuminate the back of a house from a distance, even in the presence of trees and undergrowth. I am now upgrading the AR to the companion TLR with a laser and transferring this light to my duty shotgun. This will be my third TLR, as my duty weapon already has a TLR 1 and they all perform exceptionally well.

I have this light mounted on my Moss 500's Magpul forend and it's great. The normal button on the back can be difficult for me to activate without losing grip, so I opted not to use a remote, as there's limited space on the forend. The light beam is wide and perfect for home defense situations. My only issue is that I would prefer it to have an MLOK rail mounting option for a more seamless profile, instead of the current Picatinny mounting.
