I have used TLR-1 lights on my rifles and shotguns for a while now and found them very effective. However, I have found them to be somewhat bulky and prone to accidental activation when stored in a bag unless I physically remove the pressure switch plug or detach the light from the mount. The RM light addresses these issues by offering a slightly smaller and more streamlined design that is less likely to be accidentally activated. I would only change is to provide an RM light with a laser option. Overall, the Streamlight 69450 RM light offers a great combination of performance and convenience.

The Streamlight tlr rm2 light itself is excellent. It also has a wide, uniform hot spot with good peripheral lighting. It comes with a variety of mounting inserts to allow you to fine-tune the position on a Picatinny rail. The remote switch also comes with multiple mounting options. One option is a flexible plastic bracket that snaps onto the rail, into which the switch snaps. I wouldn't say I liked this option because it mounted too far away from the handgun and was uncomfortable to use. The switch also has channels molded into the body that allows you to use zip ties to mount it. I preferred this option because it lets me to mount the switch closer to the handgun, but the channels are too close to the taper where the cord enters the switch and the radius at the other end, causing the zip ties to slide out of the channels when tightened. I made a backing plate that I installed inside the handguard and mounted the switch using bolts that ran through the handgun. It would be great if the manufacturer offered such an option.

I installed this streamlight rm2 light on the side rail of my CS Scorpion Evo. It takes up a significant portion of the rail, potentially the entire rail depending on where it is placed. The switch is easy to reach when I shoulder the firearm with one hand on the mag well, but it can be more difficult to activate with my hand on the AFG (although still possible with a large hand). The light is well-made and securely attached. It is very bright, although I still need to test it outdoors. It effortlessly illuminates a room.

I received the light promptly after placing my order. The packaging and instructions were satisfactory. This was my first time installing a pressure switch on a rail, and it took only a few minutes to get the light securely mounted on my gun. The cord is the ideal length, and the 90-degree plug-in allows the cord to be almost invisible and very secure. The light is bright, the batteries are easy to install, and it has worked flawlessly thus far. If you still hold your light in one hand and your weapon in the other, this light is a must-have, and you will not be disappointed.

The tlr rm2 is my top pick for a weapon light for a long gun. I agree with the other reviewer who had a positive experience with this light. I have used many lights for various purposes, including home defense, law enforcement training, and deployment in Iraq, and this is by far the best one I have owned. It is low profile, extremely bright, and easy to use, and the end lens cover design prevents accidental activation through slight rotation. This light is worth every penny.

This streamlight 69450 tlr rm 2 light is an excellent choice at a very reasonable price. It has an intense beam and a low profile design, and the angled switch on the back of the light is more comfortable to use than the 90-degree flat buttons found on some other lights. A few minor drawbacks to consider: the head of the mounting screw has a curved slot that is meant to be tightened using the butt of a shell casing, which can be awkward to use. It would have been more convenient to have a normal screw that could be tightened using a flathead screwdriver. Additionally, the wire for the remote switch is quite long, which leads to excess slack that needs to be secured to avoid snags. These are minor issues, but they would have earned this light a rating of 4.5 out of 5 if that option were available. However, these issues need to be more significant to justify reducing the rating by a total star.

I’ve used TLR-1 lights on my rifles and shotguns for a while. While significant, I found them bulky and easily inadvertently activated in a bag unless I physically removed the pressure switch plug and removed the light from the mount. The RM solves a lot of this. A slight bit less light output, but in a more compact, streamlined, and less likely to inadvertently activate the package. My only want would be the RM with a laser!

Excellent price, fast shipping, super-bright (1000 Lumens). Streamlight makes amazing products and has outstanding Customer Service. I have several lights for different purposes (handheld, tactical, long gun, pistol). There is an issue with the port plug falling out easily on this model. I contacted Streamlight, and they are in the process of redesigning it as they are aware of the problem. In the meantime, they are sending me a more straightforward plug so as to protect the contacts of the socket. As I stated, they stand behind their product. For the price, you cannot go wrong with Streamlight.

The light is great. I nice comprehensive and uniform hot spot with good peripheral light as well. It comes with many mounting inserts to precisely fine-tune how it sits on a pic rail. The remote switch comes with several mounting options. One option is flexible plastic brackets that snap onto a pic rail that the button snaps into. I didn't like this because it mounted too far off of the handgun and was not comfortable to use. It also offers a zip tie option with recessed channels molded into the switch body. This was my preference (to be closer to the handgun and because I don't have a pic rail where I want it mounted). However, the zip tie channels are too close to the switch body taper where the cord enters and too close to the radius' at the other end, so zip ties tend to walk out of the channels when tight. I ended up fabricating a backing plate that I put inside the handguard and mounted the switch with bolts running through the handgun to the backing plate. It would be slick if they offered such an option.

I use and abuse my gear, and this is a great weapon light, in my opinion. The light is easy to install, slimmer than most cylindrical lights of equal power, and durable. I didn't like the short flash to notify the operator that the lens ring is turned back on from the locked-off position. I like that it can be turned off to avoid accidental activation of the pressure switch but that flash can give you away as quickly.

Very bright white light, simple clean design. For the size, I was pretty surprised by how much light came out of it. You could potentially blind yourself in home defense situations. It also has a strobe light feature that is turned off fresh out of the box unless you turn the feature on.
