Streamlight TLR-6 Light/Laser Review
While I generally don't use light/lasers for my daily carry, I find them essential for home defense. The TLR-6 is compact, doesn't protrude past my barrel, and its switch is conveniently located for quick access. Plus, many holster brands design specifically for the TLR-6, catering to a variety of firearms, including Glocks. For the price, this is one of the best light/laser combos I've encountered. Unlike other lasers I've used, this one hasn't drifted even after shooting around 800 rounds with it. It perfectly aligns with my firearm's night sights. The brightness level of both the laser and light is impressive. The light illuminates my entire first floor, making it ideal for nighttime use. Some may argue it's not bright enough, but for me, its performance exceeds its price tag. I genuinely recommend the TLR-6, especially for those starting with light/laser combos. It's remained steadfast on my firearm, aligning flawlessly with the sights. Though some may prefer lighter setups for everyday carry, I love it for home defense.
Streamlight TLR-6 Review
Hey everyone, it's Spin Firearms. I'm diving into the debate about having a light on your firearm for home defense and everyday carry. For home defense, I'm all in - a light is essential. However, when it comes to everyday carry, it's subjective. Personally, I don't prefer having a light or laser; just night sights do the job for me, and I've got them on all my carry firearms. Speaking of which, I've got a Glock 26 for home defense. It's often criticized for not having rails, but it does have a TLR-6 by Streamlight. This light connects to the trigger guard and offers a combination of light and laser. Some competitors have issues with laser sighting, but mine has been consistent and reliable. While I usually use only the flashlight mode, you can opt for flashlight-laser combo or just the laser. The light isn’t the brightest, rated at 150 lumens, which some folks criticize, but it's been adequate for me. I've had situations where I needed it in the middle of the night, and it lit up my entire home. For home defense, having night sights and this flashlight is an effective combo. The TLR-6 is compact, and there are plenty of holsters designed to fit the Glock 26 with this light. I’m generally not too keen on lights, but this one’s been efficient, durable, and serves its purpose for home defense and everyday carry. Thanks for tuning in!
Didn't fit M&p45 full size, waste of $
Wanted a light and laser combo for my m&p45, this site says it fits but it doesn't. Waste of money.
Streamlight 69291 TLR-6 Works great perfect fit on my XDE
The light works well indoors. The red laser was visible at 15 yards on an overcast day. I was unable to find a holster, so I'm having one custom made through a company called Multi Holster.
Streamlight tlr-6 rail mount fits like a glove
Have the Streamlight tlr-6 rail mount for my M&P Shield as well. I love these lights. Doesn't add any real bulk to the pistol. Nice having the option to switch between laser or light or both. Goes on easy, and batteries last forever. The ambidextrous button is a nice touch. My only complaint, and it's not Streamlight's fault, is that you really have to search for a holster once you put this thing on. There simply aren't that many options out there. Otherwise, I highly recommend this add on.
Streamlight TLR 6 glock 19 is a great laser/light combo
Awesome little setup. Easy to install. Great light. Lots of power. Very bright. The laser is brilliant as well, and you’re able to adjust the laser for dead-on accuracy. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Streamlight 69291 tlr-6 is a Great light
I never thought that I would be able to get a light laser for my Springfield Armory XD. The light is bright, and the lasers precise. Excellent fit and a unique accessory for this micro firearm, love it so much, a wore the battery out in a week.
streamlight tlr-6 rail mount is Great Compact light
I bought this Streamlight tlr-6 rail mount light for my G23 G3, and it fits great. Oddly, though, I don't have it on this gun. I tried it on my XDs 3.3, and it fits almost perfectly. Just a little front/back play that can be shimmed. I used a small piece of rubber I had laying around. There's no side/side wiggle at all. That being said, I find that I still need one for my Glock (D'oh!). I'm considering buying another.
Perfect for that little bit of light
My Glock 19 is my home defense weapon and I wanted just a little bit of light. The TLR-1 always looked like the most popular light for the 19 but I figure I have the upper hand in the drak in my own home. I did want just a little bit of light if needed and the 100 lumen is perfect for that. I also like that it does not extend past the weapon
