Magpul Bipod for 1913 Picatinny Rail
AR15 Bipod / Picatinny Bipod
The Magpul Bipod for 1903 Picatinny Rail offers severe strength and versatility at a price that provides unmatched value. Rich with essential features, our lightweight Mil-spec hard anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum, and injection-molded polymer bipod brings innovation in ergonomics, functionality, strength, and benefit together. An aesthetically pleasing, low-profile design conceals its mechanisms and hardware, smoothly brushing off snags and bumps. Optimized for rapid one-handed adjustments, the bipod quickly and quietly transitions between many user configurations. The Magpul Bipod includes many features usually found on bipods at a significantly higher cost.
Durable & Lightweight
The Magpul Bipod is sturdy and built to perform under punishing field conditions. Like all Magpul products, the bipod is constructed of rugged, high-strength materials and designed to last a lifetime. In the shooting position, it is quickly loaded with stabilizing forward tension without fear of failure or warping. Mil-spec hard anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum, stainless steel internals, and injection-molded reinforced polymer ensure years of dependable performance and reliability, all while shaving weight. At just over 11 oz., the Magpul Bipod is lighter than many pricier bipods currently on the market.
Innovative, Adjustable, & Easy to Use
Deploying and adjusting the Magpul Bipod is quick and easy. Spring-tensioned legs stow neatly forward and snap down and lock into place with one hand. Leg extensions slide and lock securely with the push of a button on any of the seven half-inch spaced locking detents. The legs extend a full four inches, from 6.3” to 10.3”. An industry-exclusive 50° of total tilt and 40° of the whole pan are controlled by a glove-friendly knurled tool-less bipod locking knob located between the extended legs, allowing easy adjustment between shots. Additionally, the Magpul Bipod has the exclusive ability to lock pan at 0° while maintaining full tilt functionality.
Smooth & Unobtrusive
From the drawing board, the Magpul Bipod was designed to be barely noticed until needed. Folded, the streamlined housing and legs fit neatly under the barrel and are just under 2.3” deep and 3.3” wide. Also, anodized surfaces and tight, precision tolerances mitigate squeaks and rattles.
Functional Feet
The Magpul Bipod has many features that are also useful even when it is in the stowed position. A soft rubber bipod locking knob cap is attached to the locking knob gives users a steady, non-marring forward rest while the bipod is folded. Additionally, its staggered soft rubber feet hold fast on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. Should users choose to change feet, the Magpul Bipod’s legs accept most Atlas pattern bipod replaceable feet, except for the Atlas 5-H style.
The Magpul Bipod is available in BLK or FDE colors.

Great bang for you buck.
I recently spent several hours at the range and have no complaints with fit or function. It was a solid platform and it didnt buckle under pre-load. The only reason for a 4/5 is due to having not been fully field tested (yet) and not due to any perceived defect. If you are looking for a ar bipod for the range (and dont want to spend $350+), you are good to go with this magpul bipod.
Better than I was assuming
Was looking for a good AR Bipod but without those hideous springs on the outside. I do have 2 of the Atlas Bipods but wanted something more economical that was not $300+. I am pleasantly surprised this is pretty good. mounts with ease, legs don't wobble, and adjustment points are crisp and lock/unlock easily
Excellent Rifle bipod alternative to high-priced units
I have this Magpul bipod mounted on my SCAR 17S. I bought it based on its lightweight, clean lines and online reviews. It has proven to be tough and solid over many rounds in the SCAR and is a steady platform if I load the bipod properly. There is some wobble when deployed, but this is by design, and once loaded, it is rock solid. You can lock out the pan feature, and has adjustment to stiffen the canting movement if you wish. And the bipod looks at home under the SCAR when folded, and you can use it effectively as a platform to rest the weapon when folded. You can definitely feel the weight difference vs. other metal bipods. I am very satisfied with this bipod, and considering the price delta with other quality brand rifle bipods, it is a great value.
Magpul 1913 bipod is Great value
Very satisfied with this bipod; it's light, sturdy, and functional without any external springs. Looks pretty sleek too. I like that the legs can be deployed quickly without any buttons being pushed - just pull them down, and they lock in place. The pan and tilt features are perfect for adjusting position during bench rest shooting. I give the bipod five stars but would point out one slight shortcoming: the legs only have two positions - fully up/closed and 90 degrees open. It would be nice to have a full 180 deg swing with half locks at 45 degrees and 135. Because I have long arms, I need to have my angled foregrip at the end of my handguard, clear of the bipod legs. That either meant mounting the bipod very close to the receiver to keep the foregrip clear or doing what I did and install the bipod backward, so the legs close away from the muzzle; it works just fine this way and will take a preload in this position. I initially purchased the MLOK version but planned to buy the Picatinny mount version next. A QD mount would be nice, but one is not offered. Still a great bipod!
Magpul bipod for 1913 picatinny rail is Extremely nice
I've been waiting a while for this to show up. Very well built, sturdy, solid lock up, and no extra rattles and spring notice you get with other bipods. A++
Magpul bipod picatinny works, great value, best one out
I wouldn't normally leave a review on a Magpul product as they speak for themselves the Negative reviews almost steered me away from this product, glad I ignored them. My benchmark bipod of measure to compare this to is the Harris SBRM from 22 years of military M4/SR25 experience. That is my relative measure for this review. Magpul products are cost-effective, look good, are high quality, and straightforward. This bipod is NO exception. This bipod is on par with the Harris as far as price BUT integrates with M-Lok or 1913 rails seamlessly without adapters, is lighter, more attractive, and swivels AND pans without hesitation. The tight knob works as designed, and the detent for retracting the legs or extending them works without issue. This bipod is attractive and looks at home on a modern-day sporting/duty rifle whereas the Harris looks like an M14 extension. There are also modern trendy bipods that ring in at 2.5 times the price of this model. Also, contrary to one negative review I read elsewhere, this bipod WILL take a load from a 200lb person without the claimed "flex of over 2 inches" from one reviewer. He was either a clone, defective, or he is humongous. I don't even know how you measure 2" unless you have a measuring square sitting in front of the muzzle. Another negative YouTube video showed a guy drop his rifle from chest-high height with legs at full extension, and the legs didn't break. He did it again, and one did. This was his example of how poor the quality is. I counter that even when broken, the bipod will still hold the rifle up, and most people won't be chest-high slamming their $2k rifle. Overall, this bipod is priced competitively, performs and looks well, weighs very little, and does what Magpul products are supposed to do: work.
The Magpul bipod for Picatinny is a Good Value
This is a good bipod for the money. I use the Magpul bipod it on a .22 trainer rifle for positional work. Steady with fairly good rotation for uneven surfaces and angles. Fairly smooth action for engaging multiple targets without having to reposition. I didn't want to buy another Atlas for this. I also use it for my kid's rifle. It seems sturdy, but then I'm not planning on throwing it down or jumping on it. The Magpul Picatinny bipod is well worth the money and I like it better than my Harris. Not as good as my Atlas but also 1/3 the price. Some complaint about the Allen wrench application, but I don't move this around. For this price, put one on each of the rifles needing one.
Good Picatinny rail bipod for the money!
I bought this Magpul bipod for 1913 Picatinny rail to put on a Bergara B14 set up with HMR stock and Area 419 rail mount, which is also fantastic. So far, it has held up great on the platform. Two thumbs up.
The Magpul Picatinny Bipod is Very Easy to Deploy and Use
The Magpul Picatinny bipod Is very lightweight and easy to use. The FDE color matched perfectly the finish on my Sig Sauer 516 patrol rifle. Easily adjustable to the desired height and an added feature is the ability to swivel, tilt and cant the barrel to optimize sight alignment, or that feature can be locked in the center position if desired. Another nice touch is the rubberized finish on the bottom of the knurled adjustable tension knob serves as a nonslip rest in the stowed position. With legs stowed in a forward position, there's no problem with an underhand grip for offhand shooting. The Magpul Picatinny bipod proved very handy on the bench rest for zeroing at the range and also when cleaning.
This Magpul Bipod is Great
I use the Magpul bipod for picatinny rail for my ar15, and my 308 works great.
Magpul Bipod for Picatinny Rail is Excellent!
I have added this Magpul bipod to my custom savage precision rifle build. I was looking for a quality bipod with some features of the Atlas bipods without the Atlas price. I feel Magpul has succeeded in this mission. The Bipod is sturdy, and the adjustments are precise. I'm really pleased! If you're a fan of other Magpul products, I don't think you will be disappointed.
