Best deal on a Geissele sde trigger for sale at mountsplus
I cannot say enough good things about this trigger. I have had mine for five years. It has been run hard, but it has held up, and every trigger pull has been perfectly crisp and 100% reliable. Geissele triggers are truly a marvel of engineering and manufacturing, which is how they are able to deliver such a crisp, light trigger pull that is also reliable. Also, kudos to making it a non-adjustable trigger. My experience with user-adjustable triggers have led me to believe that it is a cheap way to compensate for sloppy manufacturing tolerances and sub-par engineering. I have shot several Geissele triggers to include the SSA, SSA-E, SD-E, and S3G. This is my favorite. The straight trigger face extends the reach of the trigger and places the trigger better on my finger. Also, I feel the straight trigger face decreases the trigger's perceived pull weight because of better leverage. Buy it and never look back.
Does EXACTLY what it is supposed to
This is my fourth Geissele trigger and second SD-E. I have Jewell, Timney, and other triggers on other rifles. This is an excellent trigger for a rifle you want to make deliberate precise shots while still being completely safe in the field. The first stage provides the safety factor. Once that part of the pull is completed, you come to a distinct "wall" and then you have the lightweight icicle, just over a pound—minimal overtravel. There is a positive reset. It will do the same thing over and over and over... and it will last. Should you need more rapid-fire, it is excellent in that regard as well with a smooth complete cycle. I have no clue what the reference to other springs and auto fire are in another review. The Geissele SD-E comes with only one set of springs that are pre-installed to achieved the 3.5 lb. Pull. It also has super high-quality pins included, along with a tube of lubricant, and installation pin for a smooth (standard) installation, some Geissele blink, and complete instructions. Online there is an installation video by Bill Geissele himself. If you know how to change out an AR trigger, there is nothing new here. You will not go wrong with this trigger so long as you want a precision trigger with that final crisp 1.2 lb. Break. It is not a combat trigger for people under high stress, and Geissele says so and makes other triggers for that environment. It costs a little more but it is worth it. As Winston Churchill stated “… I am easily satisfied with the best”.
Geiselle Excellence!
This is my second Geiselle trigger. I previously owned the G2S, which is an fantastic trigger given the price tag, which is why when I saw the Geissele SD-E on sale I had to jump on it. I will say that the aesthetic look of this trigger is what initially drew me towards it. I've never used a flat trigger before, and frankly, I didn't notice a whole lot of difference in feel, so don't worry about purchasing a trigger that feels shockingly different. Installation took me less than 10 minutes. I put the lower on a lower vise block, locked it up on my vise, and went to work. This comes with a slave pin, which makes installation super easy! Geiselle also includes their trigger pins and a sticker and patch. Let's talk trigger break: Comparing this to the G2S, the first stage is super smooth. It's a much more refined version of the G2S. The entire first stage is uniform and stops at the wall. The break is super light and very crisp. For precision AR shooting, this is the trigger you want to use!
Best PD or instantaneously controllable
An excellent trigger at the bench, an outstanding trigger for excellent work where instantaneous break completely controlled fire is needed. I own two and use mine on what are the equivalent of high-power AR platform space guns in .223 Rem for PDs out to about 500 yards off tripods and sticks. Small intermittently moving targets off only marginally stable rests. The trigger must break the instant that you think it should. These deliver—also a good trigger for shooting standing on your hind legs, same requirements. The Geissele SD Enhanced is slightly but noticeably better than their similar slightly cheaper curved trigger two-stage trigger, which is a good trigger in its own right. I have never had a bump- fire in well over 5000 rounds. Acquire the target, take up the slack of the first stage, adjust the sight picture for perfect, this trigger breaks almost unconsciously in the middle of the thought that it's time.
Replaced my Timney
I like this Geissele sde trigger for a hunting rifle. The light takes up, and crisp break is fantastic, and it's very safe for a rifle I carry in the woods and swamp. I like my Timney, but this is a better option for me and it took no time to adjust single-stage to two-stage. The Flat trigger is what made me try it; I think it works better with big hands.
Worth it
I have only had experience with mil-spec stock triggers and wanted a change. I did my research and decided to buy the Geissele super dynamic enhanced trigger with one cry. The 240 price is steep, but after the first shot, all my tears were gone! Smooth pull breaks like glass. I just ordered a 2nd one when I saw that it was on sale.
Nice AR Trigger
So I'm not used to the flat trigger having not fired the rifle yet. I'm not sure if I like it as of yet. I'll decide after some range time. The first stage is very consistent. There is a light break you can feel. I'm not sure about the reset as of now, not having fired the rifle yet, but this trigger feels much better than the triggers you get with the lower parts kits when dry firing. I also have an enhanced trigger with a smaller parts kit from Spikes. This trigger is better than both of those. With the Spikes trigger, I had to put lower weight springs on the lower receiver to lessen the trigger weight to make the trigger bearable. Stock triggers feel awful. These triggers are pricey, but a must upgrade to accurize your rifle along with a quality barrel. The break is too light if you are using your rifle for combat uses. The Super Dynamic would be a better choice for CQB, but the SD-E is good for lower stress target use.
I absolutely will buy more triggers
The Geissele sd-e has a very clean break, not gritty like the stock triggers. Will absolutely add to my other rifles. Surprised at how easy it was to install after watching the video and reading the instructions . A little pricey but worth every penny
Best AR Trigger I've ever tried!
The Geissele sd-e trigger replaced the standard trigger on my Remington R-25 308. It is the best trigger I've ever had on any firearm. It was easy to install and has a significant difference in the group sizes of this well shooting gun. With this trigger, groups hover around the .5MOA mark with 175 GMM and hand loads out to 200 yards, which is as far as I've had a chance to test it. The trigger made a huge difference!
No Need for Any Other Trigger
I've only been in the AR game for about two years but have put many rounds down range. After going to an LGS with a buddy and playing with a performance trigger display, I rolled the thought of buying one around in my head a few weeks before my love of premium parts got the better of me and decided if I were going to do it, I'd do it right the first time. I bought the SD-E and didn't look back. I do have one common complaint...the fact that I now want/need more of them. I guess that's first world problems for you. Fast shipping and asked a question via email before ordering which was answered promptly and courteously. Thanks to everyone at Geissele Automatics.
