Trijicon RM08G: Dual-Illuminated Sight MR 12.9 MOA Green Triangle
The Dual-Illuminated Trijicon RMR uses fiber optics and tritium to illuminate the reticle. Fiber optics collect ambient light, automatically adjusting the reticle brightness. In situations with no (or low) light, the tritium illuminates the reticle. This version is popular with shooters who prefer a battery-free solution. The RM08 (G) family has a green 12.9 MOA triangle. The triangle can be used in two unique ways: the tip of the triangle offers a fine aiming solution for precision shooting or shooting at distance, or the entire reticle can be used for rapid acquisition in close shooting situations. For those wanting our a diffrent size aiming point take a look at other our Trijicon RMR Dual Illuminated models.

trijicon rmr with a green triangle makes for great optic
Never needs batteries - uses ambient light during the day and tritium at night. Tritium half-life is about 12 years - meaning it should be used for longer. Fast to pick up due to reticle size (12.9 moa) but still has precision by using the tip of the triangle. The only drawback is looking into the bright sunlight from a dark space. Under these conditions, the triangle washes out. The green color is more visible than the amber.
Trijicon RM08g is Expensive but Worth It!
The higher price of this sight is justified in my mind by never having to worry about turning it on or replacing dead batteries. Reticle brightness is controlled by ambient light so that the only downside might be sighting on a bright outdoor target from a dark indoor room. Otherwise, for normal use, the reticle is always at an appropriate brightness. Even in total darkness, the tritium-illuminated reticle is clearly visible once eyes are dark-adapted. I chose the green reticle (amber also available) for the higher visibility of green to the human eye. Sighting adjustments are precise and accurate.

Trijicon excellence. Love this sight...have a few and will continue to buy them.
easily seen is lighted area
I have used this Trijicon RMR RM08g sight with one of my friends Glock. He has it decked out with all kinds of mods. Here is some stuff to help you with your decisions. Pros: easily seen is lighted area, inside and outside . Easily to be adjusted to any weapon. Glock SIG Walther doesn't matter. This is the sight for the right cost. Dead on. Cons: doesn't do good in dark areas. That can be easily fixed by going to truglo.com and ordering a set of high rise sight. Preferably Truglow TFO X. Best sight on the market and can easily been seen in Dar areas. I hope this helps .
Amazing quality and durability
Running this Trijicon rm08g on a 5" M&P 40 core. Was zeroed once and has not lost it ever. I have repeatedly shown people it can be racked off anything, and it still has the zero. Has the same point of impact with a factory 5" 9mm barrel as well. I wish I had gotten the 7 MOA dot in Amber, but I can't deduct a star because I bought the larger dot. That is my mistake.
Great Optic
I have two Trijicon Dual Illuminated RMR's. One is on a 44 Magnum, and the other one is on a Glock 10MM pistol. I have had the RMR on the 44 for several years, and when I purchased the Glock with the MOS system, there was no hesitation on my part as to what brand and model red dot I wanted to place on top of it. Both firearms have the Green Triangle and that works quite well with close up and distant targets. I sighted both guns in at 50 yards because that would be the most common maximum range for hunting where I live. At any rate, the sight is very easy to adjust.
