After getting hit by shrapnel (now lodged in my hand) from a friend's AR that had a brake with large side ports I decided to change out the brakes on my rifles. Yes, if a bullet comes apart in the barrel, you can be hit even if you're standing along side and somewhat behind a person. The Precision Armament EFAB has smaller holes and reduces the risk, yet works phenomenally at limiting recoil and muzzle climb. Great brake, for sure!

This Precision Armament EFAB is nothing short of amazing. It was an unbelievable and immediate change in muzzle rise. I was impressed when I installed a couple of Precision Armament's AFAB's on my guns, so buying this was a no brainer. Very impressed again. In all the shooting I've done, I've gone through and tried several different brakes and this one outperforms all the rest by a long shot. I think their people must really spend some time on engineering and testing because they got I right with this one, same as the rest of their parts!

Dramatic reduction ( 80%) in concussion muzzle blast while barrel rise is neutral. A very smooth pressure curve that works well in combination with the Giselle 3 gun single-stage bang switch and Aimpoint red dot. Extremely rapid follow up shots akin to double-tap . The best there is for SBR,s short of a Can Accuracy enhanced due to reduced muzzle rise and blast.

I just got the Precision Armament EFAB muzzle brake for my 16inch 5.56, and it is astounding. Flash signature is low, similar to what you get from an A2. The concussion is really not that bad. Standing right next to it, you feel some blast, but because the gas is dissipated almost 360 degrees around the muzzle brake, once you are a couple of feet away from it, it really isn't that noticeable. The price is a bit steep, and it is fairly heavy for a muzzle device (IMO). However, I have not used a better performing muzzle brake with all things considered (Flash suppression, Low concussion, recoil reduction). It really is a perfect balance for all the best general-purpose muzzle device.

I was running a linear comp on an AR Pistol 11″ barrel with an adjustable gas block. It breathed more fire than wanted. I then mounted a Precision Armament EFAB with the Accu-Washer kit. The recoil reduction with the EFAB AR Brake is outstanding, and the flash signature is now very trivial and mostly not visible. To my astonishment, side concussion with the EFAB is very bearable and actually negligible much like the linear comp, i.e., no complaints from shooters on either side at an indoor range. And my shots are quicker and more accurate. I’ll be purchasing another EFAB for a 6.5 Grendel 11″ barrel because that is how impressive the EFAB is.
