I bought this rail for my Mossberg 930, looking for a way to add optics and remove them easily for skeet and trap shooting. I was pleased to find that it allowed me to see the front sight perfectly even with the rail attached. The quality of the rail exceeded my expectations. However, I encountered an issue with two of the four screws not working, but I was able to find suitable replacements at a hardware store. It seems to be a common problem with Mossbergs using different types of threading and this also happened when I was using the set screws that came with the receiver. But overall it was not a problem with the purchase.

This rail fit perfectly and came with the necessary screws and an allen wrench. It allows for easy alignment with the front bead sight, as advertised. I installed it on a friend's Mossberg 500 and added two white dots at the end of the rail to serve as a makeshift rear back-up sight. A word of caution: do not over-tighten the allen screws, use a bit of Loctite if needed. The receiver is made of aluminum and the allen key is slightly loose-fitting and can strip the bolts if tightened too much. (I had no issues securely attaching the rail.)

I had some doubts when buying this rail as my Mossberg 500 has a machined groove, but as soon as I lined it up to the holes, it fit perfectly and stayed in place. The screws were the correct thread and I was impressed by the quality of the rail for its price. The groove down the center enables the retention of the factory sight. I am delighted with how well it fits the receiver.

I purchased this rail for a Stevens 320 shotgun with a ghost ring rear sight, knowing that I would need to shorten it and drill and tap the receiver. I appreciated its low profile, see-through sight (although it doesn't matter with the higher ring sight), lighter weight, and, particularly, its rounded front edges that eliminate snagging. The flat bottom with rounded edges fit the contours of the shotgun perfectly. I had to cut 1.25 inches off the rear to allow for the front mounting screw to be tapped into the thicker receiver metal. This is a high-quality rail mount at an affordable price. If you have a Mossberg 500-590, it's a great option that installs easily without snagging.

This Mossberg 500 tactical rail is an excellent option, featuring rounded edges on the front and a radius on the bottom that is compatible with most receivers. The screws may need to be adjusted or replaced for your specific setup, but it is easy to do so. I took mine to a grinder to adjust the lengths and successfully installed it on a Black Aces receiver.

The mossberg 500 picatinny rail has a fantastic channel that allows for easy sight alignment and use of the front bead on a shotgun. It even works well as a makeshift rear sight when paired with an XS Big Dot front sight, resulting in a clear and easy-to-acquire target image. Additionally, it allows for the attachment of any weaver accessories. Installation is simple and requires only a few screws to be removed and replaced. Overall, this is an excellent modification for a Mossberg and the channel design is particularly noteworthy.

I bought this not realizing that my Mossberg 500 didn't have the mounting holes already drilled. After getting an idea of where they were suppose to be on the receiver, I simply used this rail as a guide, marked the holes, then drilled and tapped them. Rail looks like it was made for the gun, and besides holding my red dot in place, it still allows for use of the bead on the barrel due to a channel down the middle of the mount. Great product, it did exactly what I needed it to, and it arrived very fast. Will definitely go to Mounting Solutions Plus for anything else they have that I might need.

Ordered this to go on the slug barrel of my Mossberg 835. Fits and works perfectly.

Good product at a good price

This Mossberg 500 mount fits perfectly. The cut down the middle is, surprisingly, deep enough to see the iron sights on my rifled deer barrel and the front bead on my smoothbore barrel. If you buy the right quick disconnect rings, you could easily set up the same shotgun for deer and turkey.
