The picatinny rails look cool, but shredded my thumb. My suggestion if you buy it is to not use it in conjunction with a pistol grip. And if possible, drill a forend strap to it.

After I installed it I went to rack a round and it wouldn't come out of the mag tube. I switched back to the original forend and no problems.

This piece fits very differently than the OEM piece. You can probably roll the barrel 30 degrees left or right while the forend stays in place. I would absolutely NOT use the forend for hunting or trap shooting, BUT for the cheap price this product serves its purpose. Unless you’re strapped for cash I would spend a few more dollars for a better one.

This Mossberg 88 forend went on in a flash; the only suggestion I have for the novice is to watch the YouTube videos on how to remove the existing forend. This does not have the end retaining nut, so it's on and off in no time flat. Works like a charm

maverick 88 forend replacement This maverick 88 forend is a little more wobbles then stock action slide but not enough to drive you crazy, easy to install no problems at all. Feel your stock slide wobble before you start your install so you can get a reference. Picatinny rails feel good, not too sharp on hands.

Excellent product great price. Also, it was very easy to install. If you're looking for a tactical forend to replace your stock one, this is it; I have a Maverick 88 with an 18" barrel, make sure you check barrel length, some models require a lower replacement of mag tube.

Installed easily, even with having to disassemble the shotgun nearly entirely. Seems sturdy, has not been tested yet. Added a vertical grip to my Maverick. Plenty of rail space. Would definitely recommend this product
