Excellent construction, little heavy @ 14oz compared to CTRs 9oz. To me, it evens out the balance slightly, great cheek weld position, doesn't pull my whiskers. Good SOLID feel to it. Think if you put the LMT SOPMOD/CTR/EMOD together and you have the ACS. I really like the one-piece construction instead of the UBRs, which the locking mechanism for the stock can break. I use this over a Vltor Milspec tube, and it's nice and tight, it's slightly longer, and my only two gripes are the ability to take it on and off. They supply you with dummy rounds to install/uninstall, but you can use a live round in the field. It didn't include a QD swivel point, so I'm guessing you have to buy it seperate and fully collapsed. It rides right on my Noveske endplate QD point. Keeps it secure, but those who use QD attachments might be slightly disappointed it's not included. If you were looking at an Emod/LMT stock, grab this. For me, fully collapsed has perfect cheek weld alignment, and my QD swivel still has full movement, doesn't bind.

I have used this rear stock on a few different builds. It always fits tight and has no play. I use it as an adjustable stock on precision rifles, normally I'd use a fixed stock but this one fits so well it makes it well worth using to allow for adjustments.

I just swapped this stock onto a POF .308 (they have a mil-spec buffer tube if anyone is wondering) replacing the Magpul CTR that was in place from the factory. What an improvement! The Magpul ACS is more prolonged and more massive by comparison, and the cheek weld is the best I have experienced on an AR (superior even to the Magpul UBR). As adjustable stocks on a "standard" buffer tube go (as opposed to stock-specific buffer tubes like the UBR or ACE Hammer stock use), the lockup is pretty darn solid. I've not yet shot the gun with the new stock installed, but I'm very impressed with the features and construction of the ACS. This will likely be my go-to stock for future builds if I don't want to drop $250+ on a Magpul UBR.

I have yet to buy a Magpul stock I was unhappy with. This ACS Magpul stock is no exception. Installation was not quite as smooth as the instructions made it sound (I broke off the plastic dummy round), but a slightly stronger tool got it done. I'm certainly no gunsmith, but it was tricky to get on. Cheekweld is fantastic. Storage is excellent, though I have no idea what I'm going to use it for. Love it! You should buy one. A friend got this and didn't know he was supposed to get a commercial tube. He got a Mil-spec, and it was a tad shaky. Know which one to get before you order or you'll be unhappy.

The weeble-wobble fit of the x-brand buttstock on my ar15 5.56 was getting old. Looking for a tighter fitting unit, I went with the Magpul ACS model, and couldn't be happier. This thing fits like a glove (just make sure you get the correct version for your buffer tube Mil-Spec or commercial). Installs in minutes and is ready to go. The cam-lock is a great addition, guess I got lucky as it locks up with zero free play. It's about an inch longer than the Magpul MOE and adding a larger recoil pad (.70 upgrade) really lets you stretch it out for long-range shots. Elbows in tight can be fatiguing, right? It's heavier, but I don't mind the weight given the solid feel and construction. The Stock looks good too, for those wanting a tricked out battle rifle to show off. No stranger to Magpul, though, I have a PRS model on an ar10 308 and that puppy rocks just as solid, it can't be beaten. So if your sick of flip-floppy, loose, cheap buttstocks... go Magpul !!!

The Magpul ACS Stock is simple to install; just take the old collapsible stock off and slide the Magpul ACS Mil-Spec stock on - that's it!!! I like the friction lock feature, which stops play in the stock leading to more precise shot placement. I have bought several of these now. Nice to have the extra storage space in the stock also.

One of the Best AR Stock, I have several of the Magpul ACS Stocks, and they all perform flawlessly. One thing you should know, they do NOW come with a QD sling mount shipped with the stock. The description says the stock has a place to mount a QD but sold separately. I just bought 3 ACS's, and all three had a QD mount included.

Love this stock, much better than the standard I had prior to this, easy installation and comfortable cheek weld for a better view down the scope. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I will definitely upgrade to the enhanced buttpad.
