M1A/M14 Bipod Adapter
Easy to istall
M1A
Very Nice, easy to install
This adapter works great and was super happy with how fast they ship
Socom 16 OD synthetic stock owner. Adapter works well and fast shipping. Had to use a Dremel tool to shave down the stock as the metal protruded too much, causing pressure on the gas block when reassembling the stock. Fixed in 2 minutes, now works perfectly. Note that not all stocks are alike, so modification may not be necessary.
Okay So Far
Bought for a Springfield M1A composite stock. Fits well through the water drain hole and has a recess in the interior of the stock. Slight contact with gas tube noted, but tilt test shows easy piston movement. May need slight grinding for no contact. 4 stars only due to lack of shooting experience. Concern about stock cracking from recoil. Expensive for a small nut and bolt.
Synthetic M1A stock users
The M1A bipod mount functions well. Although it's intended for use with walnut/wood stocks, it also works with synthetic stocks. To secure it, use an Allen wrench to tighten it tightly. On synthetic stocks, this will create indentations for a secure fit (DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN ON WOOD TO AVOID DAMAGE/CRACKS). If the screw is too long, as some reviews suggest, use a washer or file it down. Ensure there's no contact with the operating rod by marking it and checking with a tilt test. Good for wood, works on synthetic stocks with the possibility of small indentations.
This fits even the mlok rails with an added washer/shim
The m1a bipod mount fits MLOK rails and stays securely in place with the MLOK track. A washer/shim can be added for extra hold. Installed on a Harris Bipod, it made it flush with the rail and eliminated the need for other MLOK adapters. Well-made and versatile, we'll be purchasing more. Excellent quality and various applications.
Works great
Installing it securely while maintaining proper alignment can be finicky, but once done, it works flawlessly. A bipod won't loosen after shooting. Highly recommended. Just be cautious during installation, as the wooden stock in that area is delicate and could break if over-forced.
great solution
a simple device to facilitate bipod attachment to an M1A
m1a bipod adapter
I bought it for a friend, and it quickly installed on his Springfield Amory M1A. This small part needed no modification of the synthetic stock that came with the firearm and allowed him to add a bipod to the rifle.
Okay So Far
Purchased this for my Springfield M1A composite stock. It fits easily through the water drain hole, and it seems that in my Springfield stock, there is a recess for it on the interior of the stock. I saw a very slight contact with the gas tube so I did the tilt test and my gas piston still slides easily back and forth. I may lightly grind a bit off the top of the adapter, so there is no connection at all. I'm only giving four stars since I haven't shot with it yet. I'm hoping the stock doesn't crack at the point of attachment due to recoil as someone else mentioned, it's pretty expensive for a tiny nut and bolt.
buying experience
Very good online shopping experience.
