Kensight Target 1911 Sights With Beveled Blade Fits Bomar BMCS Sight Dovetail Cut
This sight was developed for competition shooter's looking for quicker draw time, but the sharp edges on the bevels still make for easy sight acquisition. Many shooters also use this sight for combat carry. Technical Information: Wire EDM Precision Machined Positive Click Windage and Elevation Adjustments Material: 4140 Chrome Moly Steel Blade Notch Dimensions: 0.112" x 0.100" Sight Body Dimensions: 1.407" x 0.689" x .413" Fits 0.330"x 65ø x 0.070" sight dovetail.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES: Please be sure you are purchasing the correct sight for your existing slide dovetail. If you are unsure of your factory dovetail dimensions, call the manufacture or do some research to be sure this is the correct sight for your dovetail cut. There are a lot of Forums around the internet that will be able to help with this information as well.
THE SIGHT WILL NOT JUST "SLIDE IN" TO EXISTING DOVETAILS. DO NOT FILE ON YOUR SLIDE! Kensight sight dovetails are slightly oversized to provide a factory fit. The actual sight dovetails are larger than your existing slide cut, and this is intentional. Each manufacture has slightly different tolerances on the slide dovetail dimensions. The Kensight sight oversized dovetail will need to be filed and fitted to your particular slide dovetail size. We recommend installation from a competent Gunsmith.

spot -on clone replacement for a Bo-Mar ...slip-in installation with no hassle....fitting is based on the status of the dovetail and in my case minimal filing--5-6 strokes were needed, set-screws work as they should. sight is well made and robust.... replaces a BO-Mar 100%

Kensight mfg's Good product. By design, their sights need a little filing to be fitted. Blue 'em afterward and use the set screws and they are perfect.
