Trijicon HD Night Sights for 1911 Novak Low Mount Dovetail Cut Up with Orange or Yellow Outline - CA128O/CA128Y
Fits 1911 Novak Low Mount Dovetail Cut models.
The 1911 Hi-def Night Sight Set with the orange or yellow outlined point of view from Trijicon is itself indulgent three-dot iron sight because of low light shooting conditions. This configuration of the Hi-def Night Sight fits 1911 firearms with Novak Low Mount Dovetail Cut sights. The rear and front sights are machined from solid steel, and also the self-indulgent gas lamps are housed in silicon cushioned aluminum, which makes the Hi-def Night Sight prepared to withstand the power of rapid shooting. The surfaces of the sights are angled and textured to reduce glare and enhance the contrast of the aiming point.
The aiming point right in Front view has an orange glow-in-the-dark ring around the green tritium phosphor gas lamp to enhance visibility and assist target acquisition. Tritium Phosphor Illumination. Battery-free tritium phosphor lamps are self-evident in low light without a light. The front view has an orange photoluminescent ring around the green lamp window to improve visibility and contrast. Trijicon guarantees its green phosphor lamps for 12 years from the date of manufacture. Aluminum Phosphor Lamp Housing. The tritium phosphor gasoline is shielded by an aluminum casing and sealed by a sapphire stone window which also protects the lamp while evenly transmitting the emitted light. Silicon shock mounting suspends the aluminum housing inside the metal sight and absorbs force out of intense recoil.
NOTE: The fronts are .330” x 65 degree dovetail The rears (Fixed LoMount Carry) are .495” x 65 degree dovetails

spent a good amount of time getting it Right
As previously mentioned by others, the only drawback is the absence of a set screw in the sight kit. It is possible that Amazon could take action to address this issue. The sights were installed on a RIA .45 Tactical and since a gunsmith was not available, the user had to manually relieve the dovetail on the front of the slide with a small triangle file, which took considerable time to achieve the desired result. The new sights have improved the user's shooting accuracy even further with the added benefit of three green dots for night alignment. The only thing missing is a set screw in the package.
Very bright 1911 Night Sights
The Trijicon sights are very bright at night and the yellow glow also requires charging with a flashlight. It's important to note that these sights do not fit Ruger firearms as Ruger sells their own licensed Trijicon sights which are slightly smaller. A gunsmith could sand down the sights to fit a Ruger, but local gun shops may not have the capability to do so. Ruger claims that Novak sights fit, but they have modified Novak sights.
1911 night sights novak cut
The Trijicon sights have been a great improvement from the original blacked-out Novak rear sights and brass dot front sight on the user's 1911. After 500+ rounds and both inside and outside waistband carrying, the user is confident in their durability. The photoluminescent front sight is especially impressive, providing better light pick-up compared to the brass dot. The tritium lamps perform well in moderate indoor lighting and are highly visible in low light conditions. The user recommends getting them installed by a gunsmith if the user does not have the proper tools and experience, and if the 1911 slide has Novak sight cuts, only minor fitting should be required.
Great sights but had some trouble fitting them.
The Trijicon sights received initially were too small for a SIG Sauer 1911, contradicting the claims of other reviewers that they fit Novak cut dovetails. A visit to a local gunsmith solved the issue by using industrial super glue on the front sight, and the rear set screw was secured using thread locker after adjustments. The investment was worth it as the sights are now easily visible to the user's aging eyes. The improved sight picture has reduced the number of misses in shot groups. Despite the initial hassle in getting them to fit, the sights are highly recommended. The only reason for not giving a 5-star rating is due to the inconvenience encountered initially.
These 1911 night sights are amazing. They really pop out at you
The Trijicon sights are visually stunning, providing quick and easy target acquisition. The quality of the sights is excellent, rated 5/5. However, there are some issues with Trijicon's product. The sights did not come with a set screw and the set screw from previous Novak sights cannot be used. The sights are labeled as "1911 Novak Cut", but when used with a Colt 1911 O1980XSE, the rear sight fits well even without a set screw, but the front sight is not the correct size for the Novak cut notch. This required professional gunsmithing at an extra cost. Despite the labeling, Trijicon informed the customer that they do not make products for their gun. To avoid disappointment, it is important to make sure the sights fit your gun before purchasing.
Great trijicon 1911 sights... Buuuuut
I highly recommend these trijicon night sights 1911 for their great sight picture that suits my shooting style and eyes. My friends also agree on their quality. I own a pair on my 9mm striker semi and they work great. These sights came with functioning tritium, providing excellent night visibility, unlike my 9mm sights which lost their glow. However, the Novak cut may not be perfect and my gunsmith and I struggled to get them to fit smoothly on my Sig Sauer 1911. It's unclear whether the issue lies with the gun or the sights. Eventually, we got them installed with a set screw and used loctite. They might not be as durable as the factory installed standard sights, but after 300 rounds of training and shooting, they are still holding up well.
