It is a combination of a riflescope and a laser rangefinder that provides hunters with the ability to quickly and accurately measure the distance to their target while also providing a precise aim point for their shot.

The Eliminator IV LaserScope is the fourth-generation model from Burris and includes numerous upgrades over its predecessors. The most significant improvement is the enhanced range-finding capabilities that allow the scope to accurately measure distances up to 2,000 yards. This is a considerable improvement over previous models that could only measure up to 1,200 yards.

The scope also features an upgraded ballistics calculator that considers a range of variables such as bullet weight, velocity, and atmospheric conditions like temperature and barometric pressure. Hunters can enter this information into the scope's calculator to get an accurate estimate of where their bullet will hit, helping them make a clean and ethical kill.

In summary, the Burris Eliminator IV LaserScope is an excellent choice for hunters who want a reliable and high-tech scope to help them make accurate shots at long distances. “Beyond” satisfied

This product is everything you would expect from Burris! It has exceeded my expectations with its exceptional clarity and user-friendly design. The range finder is advertised to go out to 2,000 yards, but I was even able to range a water tower at 2,114 yards, which is beyond the advertised distance. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!

The Eliminator IV 4-16x50 is an outstanding purchase. I was able to mount it to my brand new Browning A3 .308 in under 20 minutes. The following morning, I went to a 100-yard range to zero and sight it in. It only took me six rounds of ammunition to get it zeroed in, and by the fifth shot, I was hitting bullseyes. In under 30 minutes, I was able to sight it in perfectly. The next day, I took it out to a longer-range to test its abilities. I set up a target at over 400 yards and shot three rounds while leaning over the back rack of a 4-wheeler. I missed one shot but hit the other two on paper. While I wouldn't say I'm a great shot by any means, it's still remarkable to hit two out of three shots at over 400 yards while using a new gun and a new scope straight out of the box. I don't have enough time to comment on its durability, but the functionality and glass quality are impressive. If you can't make good shots with this scope, then it's either your skills or your gun that's the problem, not the scope.

    Better than I expected.

I am extremely satisfied with this scope, although the remote could be smaller. However, I doubt I will use the remote much, and I am having difficulty finding a suitable place to mount it due to its size. I have used this scope a few times, and it has exceeded my expectations so far. I purchased it alongside a Trijicon Tenmile and mounted them on comparable MPRs. One of the MPRs is a Christensen and the other is a Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro. While the Trijicon Tenmile has better clarity, I prefer using this scope because of its built-in range finder. It is incredibly convenient to have the range finder integrated into the scope, and it makes hunting much more manageable.

Unable to determine the distance !

I recently purchased a new Ballistic Laser Scope 3 and programmed it with the drop number and BC of my cartridge. However, when I tried to use the scope, it failed to read the distance when I pressed the range button. Instead, it displayed multiple dots on the downline. The weather conditions were perfect, with no dust or rain between the scope and the target, and the distance was approximately 100 yards more or less. I am not sure what could be causing the problem or how to reset the scope. It seems like there might be an error with the scope itself. I am using a 300 Win Mag cartridge, and I want to make sure that the scope is working correctly before taking any shots. I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this issue or troubleshoot it further.

    "Eliminates" my aiming errors

In 2020, this hunter purchased the Burris Eliminator III for a Wyoming Mule Deer Hunt and mounted it on their 300 Win Mag rifle. During their hunt, they rode horses up in the Absaroka Mountains, searching for the perfect specimen. They found the Muley at 300 yards downhill in a 50 mph wind coming straight up at them. Using the range finder, they zeroed in on the animal and made a perfect shot, hitting it in the heart. The scope was programmed with ballistics, making the hunter comfortable taking the shot at that distance. Previously, they had rarely taken shots over 150 yards because they found it challenging to correct for variables like wind and distance. However, with the Burris Eliminator III, they no longer worry about making longer shots. Their hunting buddy shot a nice elk a few days later using their rifle with the Eliminator III mounted on it. Despite having never shot their rifle before, their buddy hit the elk dead-on at 250 yards. This is a testament to the Eliminator III's ability to take the guesswork out of longer shots, making it easier to make ethical kills. The hunter liked the Eliminator III so much that they have now purchased an Eliminator IV for their .257 Weatherby Mag. They plan to use it in Texas, where they hunt most often, and feel confident taking longer shots. No hunter wants to wound an animal, and the Burris Eliminator scopes take away most of the guesswork, making them an indispensable tool for hunters.

The Burris Eliminator IV Hunting Scope has been the best purchase decision for this hunter in many years. They have followed the Eliminator series since its inception in 2010 and were comfortable stepping into the next generation of hunting scopes after 10 years of development. The glass quality is exceptional, and the reticle is pragmatic, making programming the scope logical and efficient. The scope feels solid and durable, and the hunter has mounted it on a Savage Stealth 300 Winchester Magnum. After using the Eliminator IV scope for around 60 rounds, this hunter has experienced extreme consistency and accuracy in hitting targets from 100 to 600 yards. The scope comes with batteries, a sunshade, cleaning cloth, and scope mounting paraphernalia, including plates to accommodate 10, 20, and 30 MOA base rails. However, the hunter decided to install a Zero MOA base rail, which is necessary for an accurate zero. The Burris Forever Warranty covers the entire scope and electronics, making it a "No Brainer" when it comes to making a purchase. For hunters who want to make ethical kill shots beyond 200 yards, the Burris Eliminator IV Hunting Scope is the answer. Desert hunters, like this hunter, have tremendous exposure and must take long-range shots for a successful harvest. The definition of long range varies between hunters as everyone has different shooting capabilities and opinions on what constitutes an "ethical shot". Overall, this hunter believes that the Burris Eliminator IV Hunting Scope can help any hunter improve their odds of a successful harvest. It is an indispensable tool for hunters who want to take their hunting game to the next level and make accurate shots at long distances.

Burris Eliminator IV - First Shots Review

The Burris Eliminator III scope was sold due to its twitchy range-finding capabilities and limited firing solution beyond 800 yards. The hunter waited for the release of the Eliminator IV with improved technology and a range of 2,000 yards. After obtaining one and testing it, the hunter discovered that the Eliminator IV was significantly better than its predecessor. During the test, the Eliminator IV was mounted on a Masterpiece Arms 300-WMBA rifle, suppressed with a SilencerCo Chimera-300, and loaded with Hornady 300-WM 195gr ELD-Match ammunition. The Burris Ballistics App was used to program the scope with the drop and ballistic coefficient. The Eliminator IV proved to be easy to mount and zero, with acceptable glass quality, and no need to touch the turrets once zeroed. The integrated range-finder was exceptional, working beyond the previous E-III limitation and providing accurate firing solution holdover dots out to 1,300 yards. The wireless Bluetooth remote was also a cool feature. The Eliminator IV had a few drawbacks, such as the parallax adjustment being on the Objective Bell, making it challenging to adjust while looking through the scope. Additionally, there was a limit of 1,300 yards for firing solutions for a high BC bullet in a 300 Win Mag. The hunter plans to keep the Eliminator IV and mount it permanently on a 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 (LWRCI REPR MKII Elite) for shooting up to 1,200 yards. Although the hunter would have preferred a firing solution at 1 mile, they understand that this is not possible unless the ballistics are altered. Overall, the hunter believes that the Eliminator IV is worth the $1,600 price tag, as it is an incredibly cool technology and offers significant improvements over the previous model. The hunter also suggests that anyone thinking of purchasing the gadget should understand that they can "range" further than they can "compute".
