I encountered an issue with some 223 brass not fitting the chamber after reloading, but resolved it by getting an Evolution case gage. This saved me a lot of ammo. To prevent similar issues with 9mm reloads, I also got a case gage for 9mm. It was tested with new 9mm cartridges and provided a perfect fit, with no issues."

If a reload fits in this gauge, it will fit in any 9mm firearm. Initially, I had many issues getting my reloads to fit, but after purchasing a LEE Undersize Die, I resolved 99% of my problems. Now, nearly all of my reloads pass the EGW gauge, even though I am using range brass that has been shot through an unknown number of firearms. If you are not looking to reload match-grade ammunition, I recommend purchasing a Lyman 9mm gauge, which should provide fewer difficulties. However, it is worth noting that these rounds may not fit in all gun chambers. After properly setting up all of my dies, thoroughly cleaning my brass, and ensuring the correct crimp, I have not experienced any further problems. Good luck with your reloading journey!

I have tried several brands of chamber checkers in the past, but they were limited to just one hole for checking a single round. This is a top-notch chamber checker that accurately replicates the smallest chamber size. If your ammunition is properly made, it will fit this tool with ease. I have noticed some complaints from individuals who are dissatisfied with this aspect, but they are missing the purpose. If your ammo does not fit the test block, it is a clear indication that there is an issue with your ammo-making process. In other words, the problem lies with YOU and not with the tool.

I was disappointed with the EGW gauge I purchased, even though it worked well for me most of the time. The machining tolerances were too tight, and I eventually had to return it. If you use RMR 124gr RN bullets, this gauge will not work for you as the tight machining doesn't allow for the bullets to fit. In addition to the bullets, I also faced issues with cartridges not fitting properly on this gauge, but fitting perfectly fine on my Lyman single cartridge gauge. This made it less convenient and defeated the purpose of switching to this gauge. For those who shoot/reload less frequently, the EGW gauge which checks 7 cartridges at a time for $25-$30 may be suitable. However, for frequent shooters like myself, with a monthly output of 2k rounds, the 100-round checker ($100) is a better option. After returning the EGW gauge and purchasing the 100-round checker, I am much happier with my choice.

I check all my 9mmX19mm 90gr XD Lehigh reloads with this seven hole checker, which is faster than using a hand caliper and the errors in mis reading the ammo dimentions. A Good Tool for checking loaded ammo.

This chamber checker is super great! If you are reloading, it is a must. I use it to check every reload I make. If the reloaded shell fits into the checker, it will work great in your gun. Before I found this checker, every now and then, I would have a shell that would jam in my pistol. Now I never have a jam!

So much faster to use than a single cartridge case gauge. This EGW product works excellent. It's good to have the peace of mind that your reloads are going to function like they are supposed to perform when you're at a match or just plinking.

I was loading cast 125 grain RF bullets into 9mm for my XD and having to seat the bullets very deep to make sure the round chambered correctly. Since I was borderline on the depth, I was checking the rounds singly in the barrel which takes a bit too long. The one thing I noticed with the seven hole checker is that occasionally the round will "stick" from the lead bullet wedging ever so slightly in the chamber gauge. That tells me it is time to tweak my dies a hair. The 7-Hole Chamber Checker is fast and economical at the same price range as single gauges by other companies. I just wish they made more caliber options!
