Burris XTR II 4-20x50mm Riflescope
The XTR II 4-20x50mm riflescope boasts a 5x zoom system and 25% thicker tube construction compared to the original XTR™ Riflescope. What sets this and other high-magnification XTR II riflescopes apart is the front focal plane reticle design, which allows the reticle size to adjust proportionally as magnification is increased or decreased. This first focal plane (FFP) reticle design ensures correct and proportional trajectory compensation for the selected power setting. Additionally, the scope has dimensionally-matched precision adjustment knobs and Zero Click Stop technology.
The XTR II 4-20x50mm riflescope also features high-performance optics with Hi-Lume® multi-coated lenses that optimize target resolution, contrast, and low-light performance. All internal assemblies are hand-fitted and triple spring-tensioned, ensuring absolute shockproofing even under severe recoil. The scope is also vibration-resistant, even during extended vehicular patrols.

Burris XTR II Rifle Scope 4-20x50mm Overview
When it comes to precision rifle optics, many shooters assume they need to spend a fortune to get a quality product. However, the Burris XTR II 4-20x50 offers a budget-friendly option without sacrificing performance.
First and foremost, the XTR II 4-20x50 features excellent glass that produces a clear and bright image. The scope also has a 50mm objective lens, allowing for good light transmission in low-light conditions. The reticle is a Mil-Dot style, which provides holdover points for long-range shooting. Additionally, the reticle is illuminated, which is a handy feature for shooting in low-light situations.
The scope's turrets are another highlight. The turrets are finger-adjustable, providing crisp and audible clicks when making adjustments. The turrets also feature a zero-stop mechanism, which allows shooters to return to their zero quickly and accurately.
The XTR II 4-20x50 has a 30mm main tube, which is standard for most riflescopes. However, it also has a side parallax adjustment, which is uncommon at this price point. The parallax adjustment ranges from 50 yards to infinity, allowing for accurate shooting at any distance.
Lastly, the XTR II 4-20x50 is built to withstand harsh conditions. It's waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof, ensuring that it will perform in any weather condition.
Overall, the Burris XTR II 4-20x50 is an excellent choice for those looking for a precision rifle optic on a budget. It features high-quality glass, finger-adjustable turrets with a zero-stop mechanism, and a side parallax adjustment, all in a rugged and durable package.

Best Sccope in my safe
I am genuinely amazed by this scope. The optics are exceptionally clear, and the reticle is highly visible and functionally accurate even when maxed out for range. At first, I was surprised by the dimness of the first few illumination settings, but once I plugged in my night vision, it all made sense. The scope is a bit heavy, and it's not ideal for focusing on objects under fifty yards (but that's where lasers come in handy). It can be challenging to zero with the factory zero stop for elevation, but once you get it on paper, it's dead accurate at long ranges. I'm transitioning it from my SR 762 to my model 10 HS Precision, and I'm confident that it can reach distances of 1100+ yards.
long range tactical shooting and whitetail deer hunting
I spent months browsing through the selection of scopes on Optics Planet, comparing all the different options available. Ultimately, I decided to purchase this one, and it has exceeded my expectations. Considering my price range and the need for a strong 34mm tube, the Burris scope was an obvious choice, thanks to its excellent combination of features. Overall, it's a very good scope that I'm pleased to have chosen.
great scope!
This scope is impressively well-built. I was able to sight it in with just three shots at 100 yards using the mill-dot reticle with my 264 LBC. While the turret clicks are a bit stiff, they are well-defined, and I've noticed that they have become smoother with use (or I have simply gotten used to them). So far, I have only shot up to 300 yards with it, and it has performed flawlessly. However, I plan to take it out to 1000 yards in the next few weeks to further test its capabilities. If you're considering purchasing this scope with the G28 Mil-dot reticle, I highly recommend getting it with the mil click as well. At first, I was apprehensive since I am used to MOA-adjusted scopes, but after watching a few videos and reading up on it, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
burris Xtr 2 scopes
Let me begin by saying that if you're only shooting at a distance of 25 yards, this scope may not be the right fit for you. However, I now own three of these scopes with different magnification levels, and I find them all to be user-friendly and highly effective beyond 50 yards. The clarity is outstanding, and they hold zero very well. In my opinion, these scopes are perfect for those who are new to long-range shooting. I plan to test the scope in the winter and will update my review accordingly. We all know how some scopes can be affected by the cold weather. Despite their bulkiness, I intend to use one of these scopes for hunting season as they get the job done.
3.50-4.25 Eye Relief
I installed this scope on my AR-15, and I'm pleased with how well it fits due to its long eye relief. However, I don't believe it would work well with a regular rifle. Mounting the scope on the rifle required me to place it much higher on the barrel, causing the gun to become unbalanced. I also bought the 5x25x50 version, but due to its long eye relief, I couldn't move it forward enough. I suspect the high magnification required the scope to have a long eye relief distance.
burris Xtr 2 scopes
I have purchased this product twice now, and I'm very satisfied with it. The glass is clear, and the parallax adjustment is excellent, allowing me to shoot consistently out to 1000 yards on my Savage 6.5 CM. I plan on using this new purchase on my Ruger precision rifle in 6.5 CM to compete at distances of up to 2500 yards. Overall, I believe it offers excellent value for its cost.
Review of the Burris XTR II 4-20x50mm
For a long-range shooter, mechanical accuracy is the most critical aspect of a scope. Many missed shots are attributed to external factors such as the shooter, the wind, the rifle, or the ammunition, when in reality, they result from a poorly tracking scope. It's surprising that few shooters test and verify their equipment, and in my opinion, many accuracy issues with ballistic programs stem from scope adjustment problems. Out of all the scopes tested, Burris performed the best in terms of adjustment accuracy, which is commendable. Despite its mechanical perfection, I have reservations about the Burris scope in general. While this particular scope was flawless, it doesn't necessarily mean that all of their scopes are the same. All manufacturers have a certain amount of acceptable measurable deviation, and having one perfect scope is just a step in the right direction. While it's a good sign for Burris' quality control and standards, it doesn't guarantee that you'll have the same luck with your purchase. On the other hand, the optics of the Burris scope were disappointing. The eyebox, chromatic aberration, resolution, and contrast were all subpar, especially for the price. While I don't expect every scope to be mechanically perfect, I do expect all examples to be similarly lacking in optical performance. It's a tough call. The scope has some useful features such as an 8 mil ZS turret, side focus, illumination, and reticles, but the optics are lackluster. The mechanics are excellent, but the optics leave much to be desired. As a result, it's a compromise, and at the $1.1k price point, it's to be expected.
