Customer Ratings & Reviews
Mossberg forend removal tool
Tool worked, however the body of the tool is not long enough to use the torque bar provided. Tool would be better if the body was long enough to use torque bar through the whole process. The body is short to the point of when the tool is seated to break the nut, the torque bar hits the magazine tube and is unusable to actually break or tighten the nut
Terrible tool
Used this tool to try to remove the forend on a few of my shotguns. This tool loves to slip and the little rod they give you is worthless. I can not figure out what it is supposed to do since there is no instructions on how to use this tool in the box. I was only able to remove the forend on one of my shotguns, I don't think it was very tight to begin with. The other forend, on my 500A, I tried to use this tool on and it keeps slipping. Very frustrating. This tool is better than nothing, but just barely. I will be picking up another tool from UTG to remove forends.
Didn't fit without altering my original forend
Had to take a sharp knife to the inside edge of my forend to squeeze it in. I think Remington has a more specific tool to do this with.
Won't Fit Remington 870 Tactical
I bought it to remove the forend on my Remington shotgun. It's too big. Wasted time and money.
TLRacker Streamlight
Works well but poor documentation regarding which model is required for Mossberg 590M
Worked as expected
Tool worked as expected and forearm was replaced with no issues other than minor fitting of the forearm.
forend removal tool
Works as it's supposed to.
did the job
This tool did the job. I was a little disappointed that the two teeth were actually a good bit smaller than the corresponding notches on the fore-end nut, so the fit was awkward. It worked okay though, just had to keep downward pressure on it to make sure it stayed engaged.
I really like the product
I like the product. Well made and heavy-duty. The handle is removable for ease of storage in my tool tray. It worked perfectly for my Mossberg 500 Forend Tactical shotgun.
ust what I needed
So I was attaching a TLR racker on my Rem 870. And this little guy was just the thing I needed to get the job done. Super tight since everything is made out of metal and easy to use. A great addition to my tool bag and one of the must-have Remington 870 accessories.
Mossberg Forend Wrench
Does exactly what it should... and no more chewed up screwdrivers trying to get that damn nut off. Very happy with this tool!
Mossberg 500 forend removal tool
I bought Mossberg 500 forend removal tool after the fact of replacing my forend. I felt this would be easier the next time I have to remove and reinstall the forend. It seems to line up with the notches in the locking lug nuts on the shotgun.
