A good Buttpad for a Mosin Nagant

It a good Buttpad for a Mosin Nagant, I drilled the vent holes all the way to give it more cushion. It went on smooth, and it fits well without any sanding on the rifle or the pad. MSP had a low price and quickly shipped out. Tha Buttpad is a little stiff and could be softer to absorb more recoil. It looks good, and although not original it doesn't make the rifle look hacked up altered.

Works well, looks nice, well made. Easy to swap out with steel butt-plate.. I haven't seen many Mosin stocks with the identical contours, etc. So, the rubber one has slight 1/16 " ish gaps and may be a 1/16" "fatter" where it joins the wood. Stock screws work fine. You can change in about 5 minutes or less.

easy to install, adequate recoil absorbotion, fit is so so , but it may be variations from stock to stock also
