Poor construction broke the first time I used it right along voids in the plastic

Yes, it can be tricky to figure out at first. Just look for the groove for the dust cover pin. That's how I always find the right configuration quickly. Fit my Anderson flat top perfectly. Solid material and this one puts your receiver right down in the vice unlike others that have it posted above the jaws. Held tight even when I had to put a lot of torque on the delta ring to break it loose.

I purchased this item and an Aim Sports Armorers Wrench to replace the upper receiver on my S&W M&P 15 Sport. The product worked very well, along with the armorer's wrench. I also purchased the upper receiver with forward assist and dust cover at the same time.

I'll start off with it got the job done that I needed. With that being said, some things that were not convenient. When you're placing the upper in the block it's a bit like horrible tetris to figure out which way and what spot to settle it in. No big deal, once it's in the vice block it doesnt close flush, the part where the receiver is closes fine, but then the other side is not flush pressed together, maybe some sort of molding issue. The material it's made from is sturdy and did just fine in the vice block (not cheap made)

I am a certified Colt Rifle/Carbine armorer, and this ar vise block works great for many things, including safely loosening and reinstalling barrel nuts.

After I purchased a bare-bones AR15, I started ordering parts to customize it and make it more user-friendly. I was a little intimidated after reading stories of guys ruining/breaking expensive rifles doing simple parts replacement. The first thing I noticed was how easy it is to work on when you have the right tools, and that I didn't cause any damage or leave marks as I would have if using general-purpose garage hand tools. Aim Sports has done an excellent job of making tools inexpensive and durable.

This AR block is sturdy. Changed handguard and barrel nut, which took a 30-inch pipe wrench to loosen, almost tore the vise off my workbench. Lol, but the vise block held adequately and did not mark or scuff finish. Would have NEVER got that barrel nut off without this, without wrecking the upper receiver otherwise.

This AR Upper Receiver Vise Block is solid in construction and fits my upper well. Was exactly what I needed for my build. Shipping was fast. If you're planning on building or modifying an AR-15, then you need this AR tool.

I have clamped AR Vise Block down in my vice many times, and it held up excellent. After use, the upper wasnt distorted or harmed at all. It held the lower receiver nicely.
