This product performs its intended function perfectly and fits snugly. While a picatinny mount would have been more versatile, I opted for the weaver mount and simply milled an extra slot to accommodate my dot sight. This saved me time compared to building the entire mount from scratch. I gave this product four stars instead of five due to the limited options available.

Not only does this mount match my S&W model 686, but it is also lightweight yet incredibly robust. Mounting it is a breeze and both my reflex dot scope and Burris pistol scope attach easily and stay secure. This product offers unbeatable value for its price.

In my search for an affordable mount, I came across this one, which is hands down the best value I've found. The package included three screws for mounting, and it was straightforward to install. The mount feels sturdy, although I suggest using some blue locktite on the mounting screws to prevent them from loosening later on, after the scope has been mounted and the weapon has been sighted in.

The purpose of this base is to attach it to my S&W 686 Plus, which already has pre-drilled scope mount holes. The mount fits perfectly using the included hex head screws and it took only 5 minutes to detach the stock sight and attach the new one. I opted to attach a Red Dot scope to the base and was pleased with the fit and finish, which met my expectations for a product from Weaver. Surprisingly, this base is just as well-crafted and polished as the scope mount from Colt for my King Cobra, even though the Colt mount is four times more expensive. Overall, this aftermarket product is an excellent value for its high quality.

The aluminum rail is well-crafted and has a polished finish. It fits perfectly on the S&W 625 JM revolver as advertised, and was easily attached to the pre-machined screw holes in just a few minutes after removing the factory rear sight. When tightened, it remained level. However, it is recommended to protect the gun's finish by placing painters tape or electric tape on the underside of the mount and cutting it to fit along the edges of the rail. During the mounting process, the satin stainless finish was slightly marred near the corners where the mount contacts the top strap of the gun, but this was likely due to the author's inexperience in gunsmithing. To avoid scratching the finish, it is suggested to take time to secure each screw gradually and equally in a sequence, which will minimize movement of the mount during tightening. After mounting the red dot securely to the rail, the author has fired several hundred rounds with no movement. This is a great way to modernize an old school revolver with a tech upgrade.
