Great mount, I shoot some pretty stout loads in my 45-70, and this mount doesn't move. Easy to install and screws are quality and don't strip or bug.

I have used this base on both a Marlin model 336 in 30-30 and on a Marlin model 1894 in .44 magnum. They have given outstanding service. The base is simple to install. The four installation screw holes in the baselines up precisely with the pre-drilled holes in the rifle's receiver. I put a drop of blue Loctite on each screw. Both bases aligned perfectly on their particular rifle and have remained tight.

I have used this base on my 336 and 444P for years without issue. They are rock solid and dependable. You could spend a whole lot more if you want, but why? I don't require a whole lot out of my lever guns. Simple 75-yard zeros and a freezer full of venison, year after year, suit me just fine!

Quality is good, but it is a bit high. I got this with a set of see-thru rings, but the base pushed the rings up too high to see the iron sights. This was on a Marlin 336S 30-30 rifle. Other than that, this is a solid mount that was very easy to attach. Don't forget to get some Loc Tite or Equiv.

I mounted this to a Marlin 336 and a Marlin 1894C. The purpose was only to be able to use a scope to shoot groups for evaluating grouping of various reloads. Was not to be a permanent fixture to the rifles. Very easy to install: Remove four screws from the top of the receiver; align the scope base; install four screws that came with the support. The base was well aligned for windage, and the four screws should prevent the bottom from shifting. The removal of the base was just as easy.
