The VLTOR CMRD AK Handguard is the first in many variations that VLTOR has planned for AK handguards. At this time it is offered in the extended length version but there will be lengths soon to accommodate carbine and mid-length variations. Constructed from aircraft grade 6061 T4 sheet aluminum and finished with a hard coat anodize black MIL-A-8625 Type III Class 2, the CMRD is resilient but light.
