While these covers do have a tendency to move around on the shotgun and become stretched out over time, they serve the purpose of keeping shells securely attached, which is what I was looking for. Considering the price, I think it's a good investment, and I typically purchase a new one every few years due to wear and tear from regular use.

It fits great on a youth model 870 20 gauge.....flap does a an excellent job of keeping 20 gauge rounds secure when most others won't.

First, A note about installation: Pull it on from the muzzle (or remove the stock) to put it in place. [Do not try to fit it from the back, save frustration.] It would be nice if an option offered loops on both sides of the carrier. It is well made, and the flap helps avoid reflected light from the cartridge bases. This, and a recoil pad, are "must-haves."

Holds shotshells securely. The flap cover adds a little bulk, but the secure hold makes it worthwhile. Pull it on the gun from the muzzle end. It is a tight fit, but that's why it holds shells so securely.

I have had the ones without the flap, and they stretch, and shells fall out. With the flap, at least the shells stay where you put them. I like the carrier and loose shells in my pocket.

These work better than the open version and keep the shells protected. Very handy to having rounds available immediately. I bought two since they work so well.
