The Uncle mikes 870 sling mount works as expected. You will need to drill one small pilot hole in the stock, which is easy. Follow the included directions and this is a snap to install. It functions great in the field with the sling I bought to go on it too.

This Uncle Mike's Remington 870 sling swivel adapter makes carrying the shotgun much more comfortable as you cover ground turkey hunting. Well worth the price and easy to install.

This is the third set of Uncle Mike's sling swivel adapter (other two on different guns) that I've used, and I'll be using them on any other guns I put sling mounts on. Easy to install, hold up great, good quality. One minor downside is the white plastic washer that goes on the swivel base. If you over tighten the screw, the washer will split. Yes, I realize that is operator error. So, just make sure you don't tighten the screw too much.

Well made sling mount. While this is made for the 12 ga 870, it fit my newer 870 Express made in 16 ga. This is because the new 870s in 16 gauges are made on a 12 ga frame.

I use the sling swivel kit on my Remington 870, primarily for hunting. I carry several shells on my sling (slug, shot, etc.), and this kit makes it easy to carry the shotgun in my truck. I unload the tube, take the sling with shells off, and put it in my truck. I live in Ohio, and to transport in a vehicle, your gun needs to be unloaded. With the quick disconnect system, there is no need to unload my bandolier sling.

I have use Uncle Mike's sling swivels on many of my guns, and I will continue to use them on future guns I put sling mounts on. Simple to install, hold up great, excellent quality. One minor issue is the white plastic washer that goes on the swivel base. If you over tighten the screw, the washer will break. Yes, I understand that is operator error. So, just make sure you don't over tighten the screw.
