Will it Work on My Gun? The sight mount is designed to be universal, so it will work on most guns that have a MIL-STD 1913 rail system.
How Long does it take to Place or Remove? Around 30 Seconds
How Much does it Weight? 2.5 ounces
Will, it Fit My Sub Compact Gun? There is a line of sub-compact guns that it will fit. You will need to check with the manufacturer to see if it will fit your particular piece.
Will It Fit My Compensated or Ported Barreled Gun? No, it cannot be used with that type of weapon.
Do I Need to Zero My Sight every Time? Well, yes and no. It will depend on if your gun has a polymer frame which will require some slight adjusting. However, for CNC machined metal frame handguns the need to zero the sight is essentially few and far between depending on its use.
Do Glocks have the MIL-STD 1913 Rail System? No, but the design will allow the UM 3 sight mount to fit on certain handguns which include Glocks as well as many other manufacturers right from the box. You will need to check the chart above to see if it will fit your Glock.
How Many Tools are Required? No tools are needed to attach or remove the UM 3, that’s the beauty of this device.
What is the UM 3 sight mount made from? It is crafted from a CNC machined Aluminum Alloy called T-6. It is also Mill-Spec Type III hard-coat anodized black as well.

Mount falls off from recoil

This mount fell off from recoil in my xd 40 tactical and my xdm 10mm and my xd 9 subcompact. It damaged my scope so bad from it falling on a rock that my elevation knob is broken so I can throw a $500 scope away now... I really hope they refund it because the packaging is not conducive to a return. Not to mention when the product inevitably falls off it is also damaged so this seems like a setup to not refund a product. I will update this review on whether I am issued a refund. It could be I just got a lemon and if so I believe that the way this company handles my return will reflect this, but it could be that it's a faulty product packaged to negate a return. I could be wrong though and they could accept the return and correct the problem if it is a systemic issue due to the quick mounts inertia.

If you are having difficulty with sight picture alignment because of "old" eyes, like I was, I looked for a solution and stumbled across the UM tactical sight mount for red dot sights. I read all the reviews and finally pulled the trigger (pun intended) and purchased the UM tactical sight mount, Burris fast fire III red dot sight, and UM tactical UMH3CR universal holster for my 4" XD45. The mount goes on quickly and in seconds. It is a great fit and is a quality build. The Burris fast fire III is tiny but fits the XD45 size correctly, and the UMH3CR universal holster is an excellent fit for the UM mount. It is a great hip holster and is not as cumbersome as it "looks" like it would be. I could not have made a better choice and am delighted with this 3 item addition to my XD45. I highly recommend these three items to any of the many handguns, and their owners, that they will fit. My only snivel (there is always 1, right?) is that Burris's red dot will, at times, go off, then within 2-3 seconds, come back on after taking the shot. I don't know if this is natural (for $214). It shouldn't be, but all I had to do was (if it was a hurry next shot) use the iron sights that one time and for the next trigger squeeze, the dot would be back on. Being retired Army Infantry from many years ago, I am kinda used to items that don't always work as they should and have "quirks" that must be dealt with. All in all, I am happy for the purchase and overall "ease of firing" that I now have with my XD45.

This UM Tactical mount works as perfectly. I have a Vortex Venom red dot mounted on it, and it holds zero perfectly. This is a very flexible platform and is a great optional sighting system for pistol competition

The UM3 Universal Sight Mount works excellent. It mounts to a short rail under a pistol barrel and gives a rail on top of the barrel to mount a red dot. It is very strong and simple to install and adjust.

I tried using the UM3 on my Glock 19 with a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot. It will not adjust to zero. Can you publish a list of red dots that will work with your mount.
