The sights are excellent, much better than the factory sights which had a poor rear sight. Target recognition is quick and precise. I had a gunsmith press them in and I recommend doing the same unless you're experienced in doing it yourself. This upgrade makes the 915 a much better shooter.

These sights provide easy target acquisition in the dark, but I mainly bought them to improve my ability to see the sights during daylight range sessions as my eyes are no longer as sharp as they once were. The white highlights make these an improvement over the S&W factory sights."

Trijicon is the best. The sights I received were bright and packaged in 2012, meaning they did not have old tritium tubes. I bought them for my 915 and appreciate that they are bright at night but not too large and white for daytime use. They are understated yet highly functional, typical of Trijicon's classy products.

I have been carrying my S&W Model 411 (.40 S&W) since 1995, both as a law enforcement officer and after retirement. Recently, I acquired a .45 ACP with Trijicon night sights, which made me regret not purchasing them for the 411 sooner. After searching online, I found that the sights were still available for older 3rd generation S&Ws, but the prices were steep. I eventually found a reasonable deal on Amazon and installed the sights myself (not recommended for those without the proper tools). The enhancements these sights bring to any firearm make them a valuable investment, even if it is a little late.

The Trijicon 5906 sights have bright, larger rings around the lights for daytime visibility and glow brightly in low light conditions. Note that the rear sight on a 5906 has springs that operate the safety, so be cautious when replacing it. I had a qualified gunsmith install these for me."

I purchased a well-used S&W 915 through a trade-in deal, which did not come with rear sights. The Trijicon sights are the only option that fits the 915 and although they are a bit difficult to install, they are excellent and bright. They have given new life to this old firearm. While they are not inexpensive, they are worth it. I highly recommend them.

I ordered the SA04Y set for my S&W 915 that I bought new in the early 80s. Of my four semi-auto pistols, the 915 has always been my favorite, but lately my old eyes have had a hard time with the sights. Trijicon night sights were the only replacements I could find for the "non-Novak" 915. I didn't think I needed night sights, but I knew I needed better sights and hoped that these would be an improvement. I have to say I love them! A huge improvement - significant in any or no light, and they dramatically improved my accuracy. The only problem is that now I want them for every gun I own... Installation was pretty easy but took a little time. Be careful removing the rear sight; there are springs for the mag disconnect and firing-pin safety under it. Remove the sight from left to right. The rear sight height had to be reduced a bit to fit the dovetail (I believe this is normal). Using a sharpening stone, I slowly removed material from the bottom of the sight until it fits into the right side of the dovetail about 25% of the way and then drove it home from right to left. The front sight needed no modification.

These Trijicon Night sights have nice bright rings around the triduum for daytime use that are bigger than the original dots, and in near dark or dark glow brightly. Be aware that the rear sight on a 5906 has springs under it that operate the safety, so be careful not to lose or pinch them while replacing sights. I had mine replaced with these by a qualified gunsmith.
