Excellent sight. I used ...
Excellent sight. Today, I used it on my friend's AR-15 and will be purchasing one (once I get the money) soon. It's rugged, reliable, needs no batteries, and I've found the dot to be extremely easy to pick up, even with poor cheek weld/stance/grip. I shoot mostly with both eyes open, and this sight is as parallax-free as I've seen. There's no discernable magnification or distortion, though the scope lens has a distinctive blue tint due to the coatings. This does not affect any of the sightings and adds a bit of contrast. If I could have had this on my M4 in the Army instead of the Aimpoint they gave us, I would have been delighted. Not having to worry about batteries or adjusting brightness due to surroundings would be significant advantages. The AR-15 flattop mount attaches correctly to (obviously) flattop ARs and fits snugly on Kel-Tec SU-16s, all of which have flattop rails. I strongly recommend this scope for police officers, law enforcement, military, and civilian shooters of all types. It's a great CQB optic, will handle whatever abuse you throw at it, and is unobtrusive and won't get hung up on stuff.
Mounted an an M4 AR-15 ...
Mounted an M4 AR-15 upper. Well, I have a different viewpoint. The optics have a coating that makes it darker (w/o polarizing filter). My experience at night is: with a flashlight for home defense...no problem. Without a flashlight, the tritium is very bright, and I do not have a problem once your eyes adjust to the dark. If you come from a lighted area into anan unlighted area...and your eyes have not modified, and you don't use a flashlight...there is a problem...however, there is a problem in this scenario regardless of the scope. Of course, the polarizing filter is taken off at night. Superb quality. I like it equally to an ACOG on a SIG 556.AAA+++...NO electronics to go bad.
Great low maintenance, rugged sight!
I mounted the sight on an S&W M&P15-22. The iron sights and the reflex sight co-witnessed perfectly. I then checked rough zero with a laser bore sight. No adjustment of the sights or the reflex was necessary. The performance of both the rifle and the reflex sight at a local IDPA three-gun match was terrific! When the current ammo shortage subsides, I will consider mounting the product on a centerfire AR-15.
Last 20yrs
The NSN RX01 will last you 20yrs of lamp life; after that, the fiberoptic will illuminate the reticle if you have a weapon light. I'm going on 10yrs and still cutting like a surgeon, folks. You can remove the spacer to co-witness standard tall AR sights. Read the manual. It gives great info. NVG compatible, try it out, not sure of other versions. Will not pick up the red light, red laser. It disappears. Comes with a light filter to shoot headlights, bright light sources. Trust it on my HKMR556. Those's two things that will outlast the rest. The lens shows a blue hue on certain items; I also bought the larger RX30 great optic and let red light through, so maybe not NVG capable.
One Great Sight
I bought this reflex sight for Turkey Hunting for my Remington 1187. I haven't used it yet, but sure it will be great come next Turkey season! Optics are excellent, and with no batteries to mess with, I can't wait for Turkey Season!
Trijicon Reflex RX01
High-quality weapon sight, very durable The price is a little high. But it's speed of accusitioning Is incredible, And it's extremely accurate at close distances It's maximum effective range is approximately 300 yds.(due to its 1x magnification), The tritium is a very useful feature when selecting a home defense sight (Amber dot is always glowing)
Fantastic
This is the second one I've bought and delighted with the sight. No batteries, no switch to turn on, it's always there and works great! I do not use the polarizing filter; the only thing that bad about it.
Superb Reflex Sight
Well built, really, really solid construction to handle any hunting conditions out there. Excellent functioning 4.5 MOA amber dot. It never needs a battery. Works great mounted on my Remington shotguns for Turkey hunting. Highly recommend this great product if you want the best reflex sight out there!
