Customer Ratings & Reviews
Review of the TLR-6 for the P365
The TLR-6 for the P365 is unique; it's a three-in-one light with light-only, laser-only, and light-laser modes. It runs on two 1-3-3N batteries, which last from 1 to 11 hours depending on the mode. Thankfully, these batteries are affordable, about $1.30 each on Amazon. The flashlight is 100 lumens, which might not seem a lot compared to a thousand lumen light, but its performance surprised me! Its compact design fits nicely on the P365 and offers decent brightness for its size. I showed how to install it on a firearm, and we even tested it outdoors in my backyard and inside my house. Though it's not as blindingly bright as a 1000 lumen light, for its purpose (attached to a pistol), I believe it's more than sufficient, especially for closer range situations like in-house threats. It's reasonably priced at around $100. While it'd be great to see a USB rechargeable feature in the future, the current battery setup isn't a deal-breaker. Overall, I highly recommend the TLR-6 Streamlight.
100 Lumen Weapon Light
This model comes with both a light and laser, and it's ambidextrous. You can cycle between light and laser, light only, and laser only modes with its buttons. It runs for about an hour with both light and laser on, and 11 hours for laser-only. The light emits at 100 lumens, proving effective in indoor, low light scenarios. I found the laser incredibly bright, even brighter than the light's center hotspot. The installation is somewhat intricate, wrapping around the weapon's trigger guard, and while some online sources mentioned issues with the battery door, I haven't experienced any. The light feels sturdy in hand, and its performance, particularly in an indoor setting, is excellent. If I had to re-purchase, I would, but I'd also stock up on extra batteries. All in all, it's a great value for its price range, especially coming from a trusted brand like Streamlight. If you're considering it, do note that removing and re-attaching it isn't a quick task, and you might need to re-zero the laser if you do so. Be on the lookout for more content from me, especially once I get a matching holster and try it out in different scenarios, and yes, it does look cool!
SIG SAUER P365 Streamlight TLR-6 Laser Light Review
I recently got my hands on the Streamlight TLR-6 specifically designed for the Sig P365. Straight out of the box, I noticed that the TLR-6 models vary depending on the gun, and this one perfectly aligns with Sig Sauer's unique rail. A nice touch was the inclusion of a small Allen key (0.05 if you're curious) for adjustments. On inspecting the TLR-6, it sports a durable polymer build similar to most pistol lowers. There are rubberized buttons on both sides, making it ambidextrous – a detail I appreciate. It's not just a flashlight; it's also equipped with a laser, doubling its utility. Mounting it is quite a process, but once it's on, it's solid. The device snugly wraps around the trigger guard, ensuring a secure fit. One feature that stood out was its mode memory. You can switch between flashlight-only, laser-only, or both, and the device remembers your last setting. The activation buttons are placed thoughtfully, requiring a deliberate press. So, you don't end up inadvertently switching it on, which was an issue I had with Sig's Foxtrot. In terms of brightness, it's around 100 lumens, which might not seem much, but it's quite effective in a dim setting. Plus, the added laser functionality is fantastic for situations where you might need to fire from the hip or any other non-aimed stance. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the Streamlight TLR-6. Perfect little light for the P365
I had owned the P365 for about a year and was waiting for a major manufacturer to release a pistol light. When the P365 was first advertised, Sig had showcased the Foxtrot365, a proprietary pistol light, but it was never available to purchase. By the time it became known, I had learned that Crimson Trace and Streamlight were also releasing lights, and I liked both designs. The Sig light was around $150 for 100 lumens, the Streamlight was $110, and the Crimson Trace was slightly cheaper at approximately $90. What ultimately convinced me to choose the TLR-6 was that other versions of the TLR-6 were available for other pistols, which meant that holster options for this model would become available sooner. The design was the nicest of the three options. Initially, I was hesitant to purchase the TLR-6 because the laser gave the Crimson Trace light an advantage (since it didn't have a laser). However, I was curious about how long I would wait for a holster for the other options, so I decided to go with the TLR-6. It was a relief to discover that I could turn the laser off if I didn't want to use it. I don't regret buying the TLR-6 over the other two options. When I received the TLR-6, it was easy to install. I don't recall if I used the instructions, but I did. It was a simple process to put it together. The button is located in a good spot, accessible with either the primary or support hand, as it is on both sides, making it suitable for left and right-handed shooters. I love the ergonomic design and the way it looks on the pistol. It is a perfect match and enhances my support hand's grip and thumb placement. The funny thing is that I couldn't really use the TLR-6 for about a month because I couldn't find a holster. I searched Instagram for someone who had made a holster for it and eventually found one. I ordered the holster and installed it permanently. I've been wearing it for about a month and am delighted with my purchase. One suggestion for Streamlight's future improvement would be to offer rechargeable options.
A little hard for me to operate one handed
While I have strong fingers, I find it challenging to operate this gun light with just one hand. Despite this minor issue, I really like this light. You simply press both buttons simultaneously to switch between the different modes (light only, laser only, or both). You can also hold either button for momentary illumination or tap the button to turn the light on and off. The battery is not the most common type, but it fits my 365XL perfectly.
Probably the best weapon mounted light/laser available for the SIG P365.
I wondered if the Streamlight TLR-6 with red laser, rated at 100 lumens, would provide enough light when I installed it on my new P365 (manufactured in June 2020). However, my concerns were unfounded as the light output was more than satisfactory, so I wonder if the 100-lumen rating might be underestimated. The TLR-6 is sturdy and, for most people, should be easy to install using the included tiny Allen wrench. My TLR-6 came with the battery compartment door detached, likely due to shipping, but the door, hinge sleeve, and hinge pin were all included in the box, and I was able to reassemble it. As other reviewers have mentioned, the light can function as light only, light and laser, or laser only, and it "remembers" your last selection without fail. The red laser is bright but not as intense as a green laser, which is a good thing for a firearm. The red laser might not be as effective in bright sunlight, but I intended to use it in dark conditions anyway, and it worked perfectly when I tested it by pointing it at targets far beyond the effective range of a micro-compact pistol like the SIG P365. Adjusting the windage and elevation of the laser was easy. I don't have any significant complaints about the TLR-6. However, it requires two CR 1/3 N batteries (included), so you may want to find a reliable source for fresh batteries. I had to visit three stores to stock up on some spares. It would also be a nice touch if the tiny Allen wrench had some way of being stored or attached to the light itself, but for now, I keep it in the credit card slot of my wallet. Overall, I would recommend the Streamlight TLR-6 to anyone looking for a rail-mounted light/laser combination with a micro-compact pistol like the SIG P365, Springfield Armory Hellcat, or other similar firearms.
Much brighter than expected!
Although this gun light is rated at 100 lumens, it is brighter than my 150-lumen Warrior Land light. The laser is also very bright and easy to zero in. Overall, this light is an excellent fit for my Sig P365X. It fits perfectly, looks great, and provides light for home defense. The laser is a valuable addition for quick aiming in low-light conditions.
Works well for intended purpose
It works and looks very well on Sig P365xl. The contour blends with pistol lines very organically. Laser is easy to sight and holds true. This is not the brightest light out there, but for the size and the price it's easily the best value.
best p365 light laser
It was purchased it because it seemed like the best available laser/light combo with the most concealed fitment for EDC on the P365. I really wish Streamlight made a green laser version as that's what I really wanted. But it's super easy to install, and align laser. Seems to hold zero after a few hundred rounds. No issues at all for me. Happy customer.
P365 & P365XL laser light combo
I recently purchased two of this Streamlight TLR6. This weapon light does fit both the P365 & P365XL. Extremely easy to install and use out of the box. I do not have to level the laser. The affordable cost overall and performance is an understatement. Thank you, Streamlight!
excellence p365 light/laser
What can you say about stream light except for excellence. They make such great products; hold on tight. Laser sighted in perfect and with ease. The light is nice and bright. Would recommend to anyone who wants a built in type light and laser set up
sig sauer p365 laser light combo
Bought for a P365 to replace another hard-to-operate laser. You can choose which function you need, light, laser or both.
