Fiber optic front sight replacement
I put this on my 3-gun rifle for use in the Tactical Irons division. This sight helps when overcast conditions are present, and you have brown targets against a clay dirt backstop—faster sight acquisition. I have used these on more than one rifle.
Best fiber optic sights
I put this on a carbine that I use for multi-gun matches. It helps pick up the sight quickly. The red fiber shows up great for point of impact on the quick close targets. The top of the post works great for longer targets. I'm going to put one on my other rifle too. It would help on a defense gun as well.
Fiber Optic AR Sights
I had a hard time seeing my factory front sight, and my 50 yd grouping was about 1 1/2 inches. After I installed this sight, my grouping improved to about 3/4 of an inch at 50 yds from a sandbag. The red sight is easily visible for me, even on a bright sunny day. The sight comes with a removal/ adjustment tool and spare fiber optic line. The sight has a small dot side and a large dot side. It was straightforward to install; the sight comes with detailed instructions and two different size detents; my Colt AR 15A4 used the smaller detent. It took less than 5 minutes to install and 15 rounds to re-zero. I am thrilled with it; it's a great option for the price and for those of us that prefer iron sights. I would recommend it all day long.
Loved it! Great AR-15 upgrade!
I always liked the fiber optic sights, but for some reason never thought about getting one for my AR-15. It really makes a lot of difference on the range. So much easier to acquire target, so much less focus and concentration required.
Looking for a edge
To my friends that are participating in 3-Gun competitions iron division looking for an edge, this sight will give it to you. Your target acquisition will improve drastically ! This is a must-have ar-15 accessory.
good while it lasted
This sight looks and works great, i’ve owned it for about 2 years now. And put lots of rounds down range with it, but over time the vibrations and shock have made the top part of the sight pop off. where it’s held in place by the roll pin. Seems like the metal wasn’t hardened right or something.. Just glad it happened at the range and not in a life or death situation.. for that reason i would not recommend. Sights should last almost a lifetime if not more....
Sightlink - AR-15 Fiber Optic Front Sight
Installation was easy, thanks to the included sight tool, the post is solid in the A2 sight for a S&W MP15 Sport II. At the range, my old eyes were able to pick up the center post, now fiber optic, and the center bulls eye of the target at 25 yards was obliterated. Next up, is a 50 yard target.
Excellent Product!
I install fiber optic sights on most competition pistols because they really help on rapid target acquisition for my eyes. This product worked well on a Colt HBAR. The included sight tool does not fit some A2 front sights and was not easy to use, but once adjusted, the fiber optic sight worked great. It is highly visible, particularly in bright sun. The targets I was shooting were brown cardboard and were not easy to see, but the fiber optic sight was fantastic. I purchased more for installation on other iron sight AR's.
MIxed
I am a fan of fibre optic sights, which help my old eyes. I have difficulty focusing on a black front post. Liked the concept, got one. Tool removed the standard front post from the front delta sight with no problem. Replaced the spring for the dtente, and started the screw end on the new sight. The wings on the front sight were too narrow, and the tool would go over the top gear, but not the bottom, so couldn't screw it in. The thin post depressor was hard to hold, and often slipped off the top of the post. Without the tool's help, could not grasp the bottom gear to screw it in with my hands. Had a friend's daughter try, she couldn't do it (small hands). So the concept is excellent, but the tool is flawed, and I finally took it to a gunsmith, who found a way to get it in. Once in, it is a useful improvement that allows me to see the front post, though still a little blurry (my eyes fault). But it does help support the EOTech 512.A65 holo sight, and at 100 yards, I can get a 2" to 3" group easily. I downgraded it because of the difficulty in installing by myself, need for the gunsmith, and the inadequate tool provided. A second sight tool I bought was worse. So as far as quality, once installed, I'd give it 5 stars, but installation is the issue.
