This is undoubtedly the superior scope mount for your M1A. It is identical to the issued model, except for the lack of an NSN stamp. Installing it is straightforward, and you only need a 3/32 pin punch and a small mallet with a rubber or plastic tip to remove the stripper guide. The mount comes with necessary wrenches and Loctite, and the instructions are comprehensive, including an inspection report for your specific mount. It should take around an hour to install and correctly mount/level your scope.

Sadlak's mount is highly durable and able to support most optics, thanks to its sturdy aluminum construction and multi-point attachment base, which rivals more expensive steel mounts. If you're serious about achieving precision in your M1A shooting, then this mount should be at the top of your list. Sadlak is one of the few companies producing M1A parts and accessories to original mil-spec standards. They have enhanced the design of the original Military issued mount and it has made a significant difference in performance. The only issue I encountered during installation was with my rifle, specifically the roll pin holding the stripper clip in place which was difficult to remove. This mount requires the removal of the stripper clip guide before installation. However, once installed properly following the instructions, it will not move. The mount comes with a small bottle of locktite, which ensures that everything stays secure.

This Sadlak scope mount is top of the line - absolutely top of the line. As an individual who works on their own firearms, installing an aftermarket scope mount on an M1A requires care, diligence, and the proper tools to do a nice looking, accurate job. Purchasing high-quality equipment such as this mount makes the process a lot easier. The machine work is precise and the materials are superior, resulting in a fit and finish that makes the owner proud to show up at shooting matches with. The Sadlak Industries logo in white on the new black matte scope mount says it all. Competitors with Springfield Armory OEM mounts on their rifles know immediately that they paid too much and don't have the same level of quality. The final insult is when you out-score them in the match aggregate. I know I'll probably never hear the end of this, but I don't care because I really like my new scope mount. Yesterday, I went to the range with my newly acquired Crosman CPA416AORG2 Centerpoint 4-16x40mm scope and Sadlak mount for my M1A. Previously, I had tried a Promag mount but couldn't zero in my scope without shimming the mount. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred a few weeks ago with my new Sadlak mount. After doing some research, I discovered that the civilian M1A receiver machining isn't held to the same tolerances as the original M14s. Nonetheless, I decided to try it out again yesterday without making any changes. Starting out at the 25 yard range, I was able to determine where the bullets were hitting on the dirt backstop. I made some scope adjustments for elevation and brought the impact point to the center of the target. Fortunately, my scope had enough latitude of adjustment to achieve this. We moved over to the 50 yard range and were able to hit our targets with precision. So far, I am satisfied with the performance of my new setup.

Overall, Sadlak's scope mount is highly recommended for M1A enthusiasts who prioritize accuracy and reliability. It may require some modification and careful installation, but it provides a solid and rigid base for mounting a scope while still allowing the use of iron sights. The instructions are detailed, but some users may find them overwhelming. The mount is lightweight and looks good on the rifle, although it may be overpriced for some users.

There were so many sheets included with the mount, it was a bit intimidating. By separating sheets into measuring and installing it was easy. I followed the install as written, and did a fit and install to check that I was okay. Everything fit exactly so I put the purple thread lock (included) on the screws and installed a second time. The fit is tight I am completely happy with the mount. Machining and finish are excellent

This Aluminum M1a Mount much lighter than my Gen3 SA that used to inhabit my M1A — lowered the scope by 3/4 of an inch too. Make for a more solid cheek weld.

This scope mount fit my M1a like a glove. Top notch workmanship! I highly recommend this product.

Though I've not yet bought this, I have done a lot of research on various mounting solutions for the M1A. The top three seem to be the Springfield Gen 4, CASM, and this Sadlak. For those who are worried about the install, I've included a link to a very informative and detailed install video for the Sadlak. Based on the economical price of the Sadlak aluminum M1A mount and what I learned from the video, I'll be going with this Sadlak. It is very well-designed, secure, and easy to install. I will try to update my review once I've installed mine.

The Sadlak m1a mount is so much better than the standard Springfield mount. Installation directions and sketches were clear and made it easy to install. This was a great find. I feel more accurate already.

I purchased this for a Standard Springfield Armory M1A; The Sadlak is a top-quality American made piece and, once installed, is not going to move. I made sure to very carefully read the excellent but also exact and very technical instructions. I used the included receiver spec test kit for civilian M1As, which are not always as precise as the M14. I also found it helpful to get online and watch a video of a guy installing one. So after carefully reading the instructions a couple of times and watching the video Install. My install was a perfect fit, and after a few hundred rounds, nothing has moved. Another very cool thing is that you can still use the iron sights easily through the channel in the 1913 rail. If you use tall enough scope mounts, that is. I am thrilled with the Sadlak mount, and it is worth the price every penny of it.

I think this is an excellent M1A mount. Fits like a glove and stays tight. I use the aluminum version since it's less likely to leave marks on the rifle when removed. If I were going into combat, I might want the steel version, but otherwise, the aluminum is just fine.
