An actual drop in trigger for Ruger M77
An actual drop in installation with outstanding results. Trigger pull is crisp, clean, and light. Easy to adjust pull weight with a supplied allen wrench. Three-position safety worked perfectly with no fitting required.
Quick ruger m77 mkii trigger installation
It took me less than half an hour to complete the installation. The instruction (only one page) was elementary to understand and simple to follow. The various major components of the trigger were made to a reasonably tight tolerance. I compared key parts of the trigger to the factory original by Ruger with a caliper. The difference at most was about +/- 0.003 of an inch, and some parts had measurements identical to the factory original. I believe it was because of this tight tolerance that made the assembly so easy as no grinding, filing, sanding, or polishing of any trigger parts or rifle parts were needed. Only minor adjustments of the safety-block screw with an Alan wrench had to be made for the safety to properly engage. This product has given new life to an "old" rifle. My M77 MK2 is a Target/Varmiter model chambered in the 22-250 Remington. The rifle was built in the early 1990's, and it is a 1st-generation model: the ones with the shiny stainless steel barrel, blued receiver, and non-adjustable single-stage trigger. The rifle has great accuracy potential, but 5-shots sub-one inch groups at 100 yards, even shot from a bench with hand loaded match bullets were uncommon. This was mainly due to the terrible factory trigger, which had a heavy and inconsistent pull of 6 to 7 pounds and an excess amount of over travel. After installation, I adjusted my Rifle Basix Trigger to a 16 once pull. Now, I can almost feel exactly when the trigger will break, and it has almost no over-travel. The result of replacing the original factory trigger with the Rifle Basix Trigger is that now I can consistently shoot 5-shot groups at 100 yards that can be covered by a Penny. This is differently a product that is worth investing in for M77 Mark 2 owners.
Very easy to install on new M77 MK2
Very easy to install on new M77 MK2 and took less time than expected. Adjusts easily too. Nice product.
no grinding or altering on this ruger m77 trigger
With no grinding or altering of trigger parts, installation was fast ( about 10 minutes) & easily adjusted. Works super!
I just installed this trigger on my .338
Received this trigger today at 9:00 AM at the post office. I had it installed and gun ready to shoot by 10:15 AM. Easy, Fast significant update Ruger should have a trigger like this in the first place. Every MK II should have this trigger installed.
Best Ruger M77 Mark II trigger
If you can use a screw driver, punch, and Allen wrench, you can install this trigger in 5 minutes. The only way it could be easier is if it established itself—instant gratification. I could not believe how simple installation was and a great trigger once installed. I certainly would purchase another.
Tremendous improvement
Replaced the stock LC6 trigger (which had pronounced creep and was too heavy for consistent accuracy) on a 2008 M77 Hawkeye RSI (Mannlicher carbine-style) 243 Winchester. Tremendous improvement in crispness at around 18 oz pull, no overtravel. There is a minimal amount of take-up (after installation by a gunsmith), I will attempt to adjust for that, but it is very slight and has very little (if any) impact on release. For the price, the improvement is incredible.
Rifle Basix trigger for ruger m77 Major improvement over stock trigger
I used this to replace the factory trigger in my M77 Mk 2, 300 Win Mag. Installation was a breeze and took 15 to 20 minutes. The trigger is easy to adjust and can be adjusted even after everything is assembled. It is a huge improvement compared to the factory trigger. I plan to get another to replace the trigger in my 7mm as well.
