I ordered the new safety along with the new trigger...not knowing if the factory one would work. I'm very glad I did since the factory trigger and safety are silver, and the Rifle Basix are black. My rifle is a Remington 700 Milspec 5R. The new trigger and safety are as good as some that cost double. Plus, I had trouble with another Rifle Basix trigger....they sent parts out immediately and with no charge. This is a great company producing great products!

This safety was better than the original Remington safety. It is made more robust and it was an exact fit when I installed it. Besides, Remington won't send you a new safety. I think, Rifle Basix is the only company that makes the aftermarket safety lever.

Works as advertised. If you have an older 700 that only allows the bolt to be manipulated when the safety is disengaged, this product is a must. Very easy to install. It took me longer to take the gun apart than it did to install the safety.

It worked just as it said it would—no problems installing it. If Remington had not broken my trigger and refused to fix it, I would not have needed it.
