I’m putting this on a .338 Rum so I wanted a good one piece base with a cutout. This is the only one I was able to find so I bought it. Mounts plus was great to deal with as part of my order was on backorder but they got the base to me fast without additional shipping costs. The base is too long on the back, it won’t let the bolt open and the front could be about 1/2” shorter, it would look better. Luckily I used to be a machinist and can take this to the shop and have them mill it down. The suck part is then I’m going to have to blast it and have it anodized. Pretty disappointing for a $98 rail. Also they could have done a nicer job machining the cutout. You can tell the endmill was worn because of the grooves in the steel. They should be running a sharp finish cutter to clean that up but that is strictly cosmetic. Over all it’s going to be a good rail when I'm done but it’s frustrating to have to spend more time and money on it.
