PRI GEN III AR-15 Carbon Fiber Handguard - Free Float Rifle Length Handguard
The Latest PRI Gen III AR15/M16 Free float Carbon Fiber Handguards and barrel nut are constructed of light weight high strength carbon fiber, aluminum and high strength steel for the best possible combination of weight and strength. The carbon fiber also reduces the amount of heat transferred to the shooter's hand during rapid or high volume firing. The long top rail matches the height of the top rail on the standard flattop receiver and is compatible with the ARMS family of rails. The most rigid M16 free float system available is now easier to install. The AR Handguard weighs 1 lbs. with an internal diameter of 1 3/4" at the open end of the tube. The overall length of the AR Handguard is 12 1/2". SPR* is a registered trademark of ArmaLite Inc. and is used under license agreement. The Inner diameter of the barrel nut is 1.020"

Bought this for my mk12mod0 clone. Has locating pins that line up with the supplied barrel nut. There is a heat shield inside the tube. I recommend using a strap wrench when tightening the tube to the nut. Overall it's what I expected. However, I'm concerned with how carbon fiber reacts when exposed to solvents. I hope I never cross that road.

I have been very pleased with my PRI rail. It's not the smallest diameter or lightest on the market but I was going for a MK12 Mod0 build and I've been very please with this rail. Its durable, modular, and still reasonably lightweight.

I purchased these rails before but this one is surely under spec. It was off-center, visible to the naked eye in the front. Also, the brown paint was chipping off at the slightest touch. I would also add that the wrench, necessary to secure the rail to the barrel nut, should be supplied with the rail, not sold separately.
