I did not know I needed this as I have been using a Reaction Rod for building ar uppers. PCC-Pistol Caliber Carbines such as 9mm do not have the notches in the barrels chamber for a Reaction Rod. This tool does work well. Just be sure to torque to the minimum specs. I did just see another version of this on another site that I'm confident would be way better. The upper rec slides onto the tool which is shaped like the upper rec chamber. I highly doubt one could damage a rec with that. But, its way more expensive. So this fills the nitch of affordable and useable tool. I have no regrets buying or recommending this tool. Use with caution and you will be golden.

I have used this upper receiver vise block a few dozen times already. Don't remember how i ever lived without one now. Super stable and firm grasp on the upper receiver. Great for setting barrels, flash hiders, and rails.

this simply fits both AR style uppers, and holds them firm. the only thing I might ask for would be to have some sort of checkering on the lower half so my vice can get a better hold on it. I haven't had it move any, but a little insurance?

This is a really great ar upper vise block to have when you are building an upper. Works with both .308 and .556 upper receivers. If you are putting on a barrel it makes it a easy. Simply clamp it into your vice pull the pins put you receiver on and push the pins back on to secure the receiver. The tool is really well made ans sturdy.

This ar15 vise block is constructed from a block of aluminum, cnc machined to fit. This tool fits mt Aero Precision AR15 upper as it should. This tool will serve well and if used correctly, will last a lifetime. Surface coating will scratch easly, but this is just being overbearing on my observation.

I bought this to work on my few of my AR's, and it did the job, as advertised. However, when I tried to use it on my Bushmaster upper, The holes lined up perfectly. No problem, a quick trip to the hardware store, and a problem solved for a couple of bucks. This is a quality vise block, and I will recommend it. One of the must-have AR Accessories.

Very secure clamping point to do any work on an upper, strong enough to torque the barrel nut.

This is a great vise. Holds the upper very securely. It makes the barrel installation much more comfortable.

Good quality. Mating holes in block fits mil spec uppers but the quick take down pins are very tight for my upper

I have used this product to build two uppers so far. The quality is evident as soon as you take the vise block out of the box... in my opinion it is superior to the nylon style blocks out there because it will not flex under load. Worth the money.
