Customer Ratings & Reviews
It is really great
I am happy to have purchased the Nightforce Unimount at the same time as my 3.5-15x50mm scope. The ability to easily transfer the scope and mount between my two AR-15s is incredibly convenient. Of course, there is a small difference in the way the rifles shoot, so I do need to re-sight the scope for the second rifle when I move it. However, I usually make note of the settings for the rifle I use the most, and when I return it to that rifle, it only takes a shot or two to confirm the zero. I highly recommend this mount, especially when paired with a Nightforce scope or any other scope with a 30mm tube. It is truly a great product.
This little jewel is ...
thanks to the technical experts at Nightforce and Leatherwood. As a beginner in building firearms, I am always learning. I was informed by Nightforce that the nuts should be on the LEFT side, with the extension facing towards the front. My issue with not having enough elevation was due to placing the Nightforce mount with 20 MOA on a base that already had 20 MOA. The total does not simply add up to 40 MOA, but is much larger due to trigonometry. This was a problem because my Bushnell 4200 only had a total of 44 MOA of elevation. I still have no complaints about either product, as both are 5-star in my book. However, I was the one making the mistake. For those who are also learning, it's important to keep the scope close to the bore and optically centered, and use adjustable rings to keep the scope windage centered to avoid affecting your elevation. Despite mounting the product backward, I am still able to shoot high 380s/400s. With the correction, I will soon be reaching out to 600 and beyond. I apologize for the lengthy re-review, and hope that I didn't cause too much confusion with my initial review.
My purpose for buying ...
I bought this mount to have the ability to use a Nightforce scope on multiple firearms while working up loads, eliminating the scope as a variable. After properly aligning the scope to the mount with feeler gauges to ensure that the crosshairs are perpendicular to the gun, and mounting it to the firearm with an accurate rail like the one made by Nightforce on guns of similar make and length due to eye relief, I am confident that I can make notes on the scope settings. This allows me to use the same scope on multiple firearms with minimal worries about re-sighting the gun. The mount's accuracy and the reliability of Nightforce's scope adjustment make this possible, even when remounting the scope in the same slots and dialing it back to the same elevation and windage, assuming the same load.
Awesome!! Highest
Fantastic! This mount boasts the highest quality. It is designed to allow the use of one scope on multiple rifles, making it a cost-effective solution. By using Nightforce rails, this base can be easily and precisely bolted and unbolted. Simply record the sighted-in position of the tactical knobs on each rifle, and you can switch between rifles with just two nuts. Of course, you'll need to fire a couple of rounds to ensure a perfect zero, but that's a small price to pay compared to purchasing multiple expensive tactical scopes, each costing over $1300!
NightForce Scope mount
This is the second NightForce Unimount that I have bought, and I can attest to its strength, lightness, and exceptional craftsmanship. The tolerances are so precise that I don't feel the need to lap it, as I have had to do with other lower quality scope rings and mounts. I highly recommend this mount and any other products from NightForce, including their excellent scopes. :)
Nightforce Ultralight Unimount
This is a solid and dependable mount that I use with my Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50mm optic. The installation process was straightforward and after approximately 100 rounds, the mount remains firmly in place. However, one thing to be cautious of is the 20 MOA tilt that it offers. While this is a great feature, I overlooked the fact that my Barrett MRAD also has a 20 MOA top rail, resulting in a total of 40 MOA tilt. I had to adjust my optic by 40 MOA to get it on target, but this was not a significant issue as my NXS has 110 MOA of elevation adjustment. My mistake for not familiarizing myself with my rifle beforehand. Now that it's zeroed in at 100 yards, all I need to do is adjust my elevation, and I have plenty of adjustment available. I gave it only 4 stars because of its high price of $250, which is typical for Nightforce products.
Nightforce Unimount
I haven't had the opportunity to install this nightforce ultralite unimount yet, but it appears to be well-built and has received high praise from others. I intend to use it on a newly acquired Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have ordered a Vortex HD Golden Eagle scope to mount on it, but I have been informed that it won't be available until September. Once the scope is mounted, I will provide further comments, but I have no doubt that this mount will perform as intended.
Nightforce Unimount
I purchased two of these mounts to secure 2.5-10x42 NSX scopes on my son's AR rifles. The mount provides ample clearance while still allowing for a comfortable cheek weld. As expected, the mount is of typical Nightforce quality, solid and dependable. It does not require any lapping, making the installation process straightforward. If you are capable of following instructions and using a torque wrench, you will have no issues. No matter what brand of scope you choose, you will be satisfied with the results.
Lightest precision mount on the market!
I bought this nightforce 30mm mount to secure my Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50mm F1 on my JP LRP-07 rifle. I was searching for a mount that was both lightweight and high-quality, with 20MOA. Initially, I was unsure because the picture showed a mount with only two simple nut-locking screws. However, after receiving the mount, I was pleasantly surprised by its precision and sturdiness. The rings are so well-aligned that there's no need for lapping, and they comply with the torque specifications outlined by Nightforce. In my opinion, this is the best lightweight mount available on the market.
Perfect 34mm scope Rings
This nightforce unimount is exceptionally well-designed, eliminating the need for lapping the mount. The 1.375" model is a requirement for scopes with a 56mm objective. The unimount streamlines the mounting process and enhances accuracy, though it would be desirable if it were more affordable. Nevertheless, one can't have it all."
Best scope mount for long range.
I am impressed with the quality of this mount and its accuracy in holding zero even after removal and reattachment to my rifle. I bought this mount with the intention of achieving 1000-yard long-range precision. The one-piece design eliminates the need for lapping the rings for proper alignment. The 20 MOA cant and tilt in the base will be essential for ranges beyond 800 yards for those not using a 50 caliber.
First Nightforce Product And I'm Greatly Impressed By The Quality
I recently received a Nightforce mount and a Leupold scope via UPS. Our UPS delivery person is also interested in shooting, so we opened the package together and both admired Nightforce's fine workmanship. I am in the process of mounting the scope and testing its eye relief. This appears to be a high-quality item and I am considering purchasing a Nightforce scope for my long-range shooting goals. The Leupold scope is exceptional, and after speaking with a tech at their headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, I made the right choice in selecting it.
