I bought this mount for my Remington 870 shotgun. The mount looks great, but I had to take a file to the interior of the mount for it to fit properly. The filing took me 30 minutes or so and would have been very difficult without a bench clamp. Not a huge problem, but also not easy of you're not mechanically inclined.

easy install might have to modify the barrel if you cut barrel down to 18"

I needed to get a Picatinny rail on top of my smooth barrel near the muzzle, and this accessory was the perfect solution. Well machined and excellent bang for the buck... I would recommend this attachment for anyone with a similar need. It now serves as the attachment point for my red dot, my flashlight, and my laser.

Well spent $. Now I don't have to hold my flashlight in my mouth for night animal control.

Quality design. I took the top rail frame off, and it fits perfectly on my 870 with my surefire flashlight while allowing me to use the original top rail sight. Use some thread lock on the screws, and it should stay tight.

Great product; it just doesn't fit my gun. The magazine and barrel are the same sizes. The adapter has two different size holes. The larger one fits both barrel and magazine, but the other ones are just too small.
