Features: CNC Machined from Solid Steel with Black Oxide finish. Made in USA! 100% Lifetime Warranty. Front Sight Adapter Ring allows for the use Original Post & Globe front sight (that has been removed during barrel shortening) of a Mosin Nagant 91/30 without permanent modification to firearm. It is designed to fit over tapered barrel of the Model 91/30 and be locked in place with two opposing set screws. The Original dovetailed Post & Globe front sight can then be pressed in to adapter. The adapter has been design to maintain the original sight line.

Our FSAR’s have been designed for “nominal” barrel dimensions. Due to original barrel manufacturing variation we recommend you measure (caliper, micrometer, etc.) the actual OD of your barrel where you want the FSAR to sit and use that number to select the closest model from the specifications below.
Requirements
You must measure your barrel length correctly in order to choose the proper model. Barrel length is measured from the end of the barrel to the closed bolt face. (Always practice proper handling techniques, safety precautions, and ensure an UNLOADED condition before attempting to measure barrel length.) Close and lock bolt on UNLOADED chamber. Insert a 1/4” diameter wooden dowel or other appropriate reference device that will not damage barrel into rifle bore from muzzle end until contact with closed bolt face. Mark dowel at end of barrel, remove dowel and use tape measure or yard stick determine barrel length. Use marked dowel to approximate the Final Fit Position of the Front Sight Adapter Ring model you select. Ensure that you check for any interference the Front Sight Adapter Ring may have with your forearm stock. The Front Sight Adapter Ring is 1/2” thick.
The standard, unmodified Mosin Nagant 9130 barrel is tapered along its length and is approximately 28.75” long. The forward face of the original front sight is at approximately 27.70”. Therefore the forward barrel exposure is approximately 1.05” (forward barrel exposure is length of barrel that extends beyond the front sight).
FSAR nominal I.D. sizes: -A).6094″, -B).6250″, -C).6406″, -D).6563″, -E).6719″
Due to original barrel manufacturing techniques, some degree of inconsistency in barrel tapers may exist. Therefore, the Final Fit Positions given for the Front Sight Adapter Ring are approximations only and may vary depending on individual barrel taper.

Fitment Example:
To determine your forward barrel exposure, subtract the Final Fit Position from your actual barrel length. If your answer is a negative number that model will NOT work.
Example, if your actual barrel length is 21.50” and you select:
Model MN-FSAR-D, then 21.50” – 19.50” = 2.00” , so the forward barrel exposure after installation would be approximately 2”.
or
Model MN-FSAR-C, then 21.50” – 21.50” = 0.00” , so the forward barrel exposure after installation would be approximately 0” or flush with the end of barrel.
or
Model MN-FSAR-B, then 21.50” – 23.50” = -2.00” , so the forward barrel exposure after installation would be approximately -2”. ***This model would NOT work!***
Installation
CAUTION! Improper installation or use may result in damage property, severe injury, or loss of life. If for any reason this product does not function properly, discontinue use immediately. Always practice proper handling techniques, safety precautions, and ensure an UNLOADED condition.
We have made every reasonable effort to ensure the Front Sight Adapter Ring will work with most original dovetailed Post & Globe front sights from Model 9130′s ONLY. However, due to original manufacturing variations and manipulation in the field, the adapter may need some consumer modification in order to hold the original front sight. The adapter has been designed to provide some degree of interference or “bite” when the original front sight is pressed in. It should require some effort and should not just “fall in”. If the Adapter opening that accepts the original front sight dovetail is too large it will have to be closed somewhat. This can be easily done with a bench vise or hammer and punch. If the adapter opening that accepts the original front sight dovetail is too small it will have to be opened somewhat. This can be easily done with a wedge. Complete instructions are supplied.

Great product, install while sober
I ordered one that was too small so I Dremeled the hole Larger and it worked fine, however I was intoxicated when doing this and pretty much destroyed it with a hammer instead of being patient. I've sold the problem to someone else and bought an SKS to bubba instead.
Project saver!
I cut off my Mosin 91/30 at 22". Refinished the wood and metal and had the barrell crowned. The only dilemma was how to mount a front sight. I scoured the internet and found the Brass Stacker product. It worked out very well, easy to mount and adjusts better than the original. We are popping steel targets at 500 yards with it now, without a good front sight mount this rifle would be useless. I'm thinking of doing another one just for fun.
