I liked the concept and appearance of this magpul 10/22 backpacker stock, but without an opportunity to see it first hand I was concerned about how it would fit and feel. After receiving it, I was pleased that the pieces fit perfectly. The components, when locked, are nice and solid. The plastic is of excellent quality and strong. The hinge and latch on the storage compartment are not flimsy and seem very sturdy. Magazines fit tight and do not rattle much in storage, but I will line the inside with something to make them fit more snug. For me, the Magpul stock does feel compact but very comfortable when shouldered. I think the forward optic mount and a red dot sight will definitely be added in the near future.

The Magpul stock was very easy to install. It is very compact when broken down and properly mated together. The magpul backpacker stock snaps together and there is no slop in the way it fits. It shoulders well and there is no perceptible difference in weight between it and the OEM ruger 10/22 takedown stock. The only thing that would improve this product is if Magpul would include the QD kit with it.

I bought a 10/22 takedown and wasn't very impressed with it. But then I added this stock to it, and suddenly it fit better, it shot better, and now I LOVE it and shoot it all the time. SO MUCH BETTER than the factory stock - well worth the money.

The x22 backpacker is a great 1022 stock, easy to assemble!! Shot great at range, lightweight, and compact. Storage is stock works well. Make sure everything stored in stock fits snug, if not the stuff we rattle.

The Magpul x-22 backpacker is an excellent upgrade to the standard 10/22 stock. Very lightweight and easy to install. The fit and finish are pretty good. I've tried a few others and always thought they felt cheap despite their over $100 price. This one feels like it a quality build.

It's precisely what it's stated to be. Works perfectly. The magpul x22 backpacker fits snug and comes back to 0 every time. This is how this gun was meant to exist. Only flaw is I wish there was more grip texture underhand but that can be solved easy enough.

This 10/22 Stock has enhanced the functionality of my 10/22 Takedown. A nice feature to have the barrel lock into the stock. The x 22 backpacker ergonomics are excellent! Installation was a breeze; instructions are very straightforward.

Magpul Hunter stock is the first-rate, but in takedown was bulk in my BOB. Got the X-22 backpacker not as perfect for shooting as Hunter but much lighter weight stores extra ammo inside it much better choice for a packing bag gun Have the Henery another good choice but no as good a gun as the Ruger. My Daughter will get Henery for her Bob. For what want to X/22 mated with the 10/22 fits perfect.

Looking at the pics and vids online, this stock looks like it could be cheap and flimsy, but I’m glad I ordered it. It really is rigid, and I feel that it will last a long time. When I unclip the foregrip and barrel and click it into place, I feel like an assassin in the movies putting his weapon together. “Time to die ground squirrels.”

This Magpul x22 backpacker stock is just amazing. Not only can you attach the barrel to the rear, but you can carry ammo and extra stuff inside the stock. It’s really light, easy, and comfortable to carry — the must-have for a survival rifle. If you do buy this make sure to look into the Magpul optic mount, it works great with this setup. Overall I’m very satisfied with this stock. Tony

This Ruger 10/22 Takedown has a much better feel than the factory stock. It has a less slick feel to it, and when it's broken down, it feels very solid. The storage compartments are great; in the cheek weld, I'm able to fit my ten rd mag and 90+ rds in a cloth pouch along with few more items, definitely worth the purchase.

What an awesome setup I have a primary arms red dot and the whole thing takes down easily stocks line up perfect great all-around gun very accurate — hitting 8 in steel from 100 yards with ease. The od green is nice too. No pictures do it justice. Maldo
