Customer Ratings & Reviews
Bill Jackson
They were exactly what I needed. They worked great for my AR.
Extremely well made QD swivel
This Magpul QDM swivel is well made and the lack of the push button make it extremely easy to use. The flat bar keeps the sling from rolling.
Solid QD swivels
I was Shooting Precision Rifle Series with a heavy Remington XM2010 rifle and had trouble with cheaper sling swivels popping out under rigorous movement. Tried these Magpul QDM swivels and never had that problem again. When they lock in there's no worry of them coming out unintentionally. Very well built and rock solid.
works great on my MOE buttstock
Works great, along with the matching female part. Kind of expensive, but the quality is good.
Top quality sling swivel.
High-quality sling swivel, works excellent, they sell them individuality. So order two, to get a set.
best qd sling swivel
It seems a little larger form factor than the standard 'push button' QD, but the retention latch is a little more difficult to accidentally trigger. So far, seems excellent.
Works awesome!
I bought this to put on my Blue Force Gear sling to allow quick switching when I want to take my sling and put it on a different firearm.
Easy to remove, secure, and looks good installed on rifle.
I was surprised now nice this was made. The magpul qdm sling swivel was very easy to push on and pull off by pushing down on the sleeve. Was very secure. Finish was not just a black oxide. I would be surprised if there was anything better made for this function.
Genius QD
I have never liked QD buttons directly under the swivel. You end up trying push the button while pulling out the swivel. These are genius. Thumb and forefinger push to insert, thumb and forefinger pull to extract. It will take a bit of practice to learn the paradigm shift, but well worth the highish cost. Magpul makes quality products. My pair is on an AR with a Vicker's padded.
Works but...
Definitely works as advertised. Used the magpul qdm swivel on the wife's AR rifle for a two point sling and this was her QD mount on the front. It is a little difficult to get on the rifle since you have to pull up on the small levers while simultaneously pushing down to get it into the QD mount itself. For her rifle, she won't be transitioning from two point to single point or anything like that, so its not a big deal. On mine however, after the problems she ran into, I did end up going with the older style QD mount. Other than that, very high quality and a good AR-15 accessory.
Just what I needed
My Ruger 556 didn't come with a front swivel. Just a hole up under the front sight. I saw this and hoped it would work. The Magpul QDM fits perfectly. It was a little more than I wanted to spend. But like I always say, you get what you pay for.
Most connectors are push-actuated in and out and if a shooter approaches this connector like he is used to doing
The Magpul QDM Swivel is a superb connector. Regarding my other shooting colleagues' comments about the connect-disconnect mechanism: The actuating buttons are designed to be slid up and down, not in and out. Most connectors are push-actuated in and out and if a shooter approaches this connector like he is used to doing, then, indeed, he will have trouble, and, indeed, the buttons will dig into his fingers. If the shooter actuates the buttons by sliding up and down, the action is ingenious and ergonomic and I am sure that this actuation is the way MagPul intended the connectors to be used. Put the connector in the socket, gently grasp the buttons on the side and the buttons slide down and the connector pops into the socket. To remove, gently grasp the buttons, pull out, the buttons slide up and the connector pops out of the socket. Brilliant. I have never seen a connector like this before, THIS IS A NEW AND DIFFERENT DESIGN APPROACH, and I suspect this is why my fellow shooting commentators here have had trouble. This is a superb connector. Pricey, but you are paying for build quality and well as ingenious design-intellectual-property at MagPul. And, it is fully made in America, according to the labelling.
