Reduces felt recoil. Just what I needed to finish up Beowulf lower build.

Now, the product doesn't do much to limit the recoil of the firearm, but it does make the recoil a little softer against your shoulder which is great if you intend on doing a lot of shooting in one trip to the range. It is also suitable for giving you a little extra length of pull on Magpul's fixed stocks, the FCS was a little short for me, but once I attached this to it, the stock was about the perfect length for me. All in all a great product.

I bought this extended butt pad for a rifle build with the PRS stock because my arms are slightly longer than average. It provided some extra padding and allowed the right length of pull. The only shortcoming was that it was not recess cut on the underside of the hole for the buttstock screw, whereas the original thinner pad that came with the PRS was undercut there. Magpul knows the undercut is necessary to accommodate the nut at the buffer tube's tail end because they put it on the original product. It only took a few minutes with a scalpel to duplicate the undercut. Once done, the new butt pad fits just as flush as the original. Without the cut, there is a slight gap between the top half of the butt pad and the PRS itself.

I did exactly what I wanted: extended my Magpul fixed carbine stock to fit my orangutan arms better. The pad is stiff, with little felt recoil mitigation, either a pro or con depending on what you want—solid, typicallly good Magpul product.

I bought one of these extended pads for the fixed rifle stock on my Beowulf to add some length and to help with recoil a little. Well, these are great for length of pull adjustment, but not so much on recoil. It helps A LITTLE on recoil, but not much. You’re still going to have a sore shoulder after pounding a few Beowulf rounds downrange. The Rubber is just as hard as the thin little pad that comes on Magpul stocks, so don’t expect it to be squishy at all. So I give it four stars out of 5, because it does extend the length and does help a little with recoil, but it could’ve been a little better recoil wise. All in all good product, but Magpul really should start throwing some of these “extras” in with their products instead of making us pay an extra $20+ dollars for just about every extra they have. Like sling attachments, LOP adjustments, but I digress!

I really like these extended pads. They give an extra inch or so to the length of pull. They are also slightly grippy, so they won't slide on the floor when you prop your rifle up by the back door. I have 4 of these, and I would buy another one.

This buttpad Is fantastic; looks great, keeps my arm from being sore after shooting all day long, and adds appeal to the rifle in the looks good area. I may buy several more of these for my rifle collection, and I would recommend these to anyone who is shooting daily like me. Heck buy several and give them to your friends for Xmas.
