I'm giving this product a 5-star rating because of its exceptional quality and ease of installation. Even without the instructions that come with it, the installation is straightforward, and the instructions are concise and easy to follow. I purchased this product for my S&W M&P15 rifle, specifically for the Magpul handguard, to improve my ability to manipulate the rifle and access the pressure switches on the handguard for my laser and flashlight while maintaining a secure grip. One of the things I appreciate about this product is how easy it is to install and its overall quality. However, I had to modify the pressure-switch attachment by cutting off a 1/4" of the back to make it fit on the handguard with the rail attached. If your laser and/or flashlight is mounted off the handguard, you won't face this issue. Nevertheless, the double-sided adhesive patch that comes with the product allows you to mount the pressure switch anywhere you desire. Overall, this product is excellent and exceeded my expectations. The quality is top-notch, and installation is a breeze, making it a highly recommended choice for those who want to improve their rifle's functionality.

As expected, Magpul has delivered another high-quality product. The design, overall fit, and function of the MOE Illumination Kit are excellent, and the polymer plastics used in this product seem to be very durable. You can apply a considerable amount of force to the rails without any concerns. The packaging and instruction booklet are also up to Magpul's typical standards. One aspect I particularly appreciate about this "kit" is that it includes an additional set of a switch body and rail segment, which I can use for another project since I only needed one set this time. One thing worth noting is that while installing one of the switch bodies on a pair of MOE handguards, I had trouble getting one end to snap into place. I eventually realized that the "ears" on the backside had splayed open instead of snapping into the slot. It didn't cause any damage, and I was able to squeeze them together and insert it without any further problems. It's a minor issue, but paying attention to this detail could save some frustration. As a long-time user of Magpul's products, including rails, VFG, handguards, and pistol grips, I can attest to their consistent quality and reliability. Once again, Magpul has not disappointed with the MOE Illumination Kit.

In my opinion, the ability to quickly turn weapons lights on and off is essential, although some people struggle to learn this technique. I've seen cases where individuals become too preoccupied with the pressure switch, leading to potential problems in fast-paced situations. For me, I prefer the MOE Illumination kit as it offers better control of my weapon at all times compared to the click-on and click-off flashlight or tail caps that require constant pressure. However, it's important to note that when installing the kit, it's crucial to check the size of the pressure switch and ensure it fits within the available space in the housing/frame. Trimming the very end of the switch may be necessary to make it fit, and attempting to force it can cause damage to the housing's tabs that snap into the forearm/handguards. It may also require some filing for an optimal fit of the switch and/or wire, but the effort is well worth it. To avoid the switch wire from dangling and getting caught on brush or barriers, I recommend using large pieces of velcro or even a tourniquet. These simple solutions can come in handy in the field when least expected.

I purchased this kit with the intention of mounting the pressure switch for my Streamlight Protac rail mount light. Although the kit appears to be of good quality, I encountered a problem as the pressure switch mount did not fit properly. It seems to be designed for Surefire switches, and I regret not doing more research before purchasing. On the other hand, the M-lok pic rail sections in the kit are up to Magpul's usual high standards, and I have no complaints in that regard. It's worth noting that this kit may work well for those with a Surefire brand light, but for those using the Streamlight Protac, it may not be compatible with the switch mounts.

I like the fact that it includes two different size pressure switch holders. My lights don't use them, so I just installed the picatinny rails. Solid install and pretty darn easy.

I purchased this kit in hopes of giving my Remington 870 a smooth look and easy access to the remote switch. This kit worked just as I had hoped. The Illumination kit worked great with the Magpul accessories I added to my Remington 870. This gave my Remington 870 a great slick look.

The Magpul moe illumination kit showed up two days after I ordered and was exactly what i expected. Everything needed to mount the rails comes in the kit. This is a GREAT buy, and I would suggest it to ANYONE who has the Magpul PTS MOE handguard and wants to throw some attachments on to it.

Don't waste your money on any other rail lengths! These are the only rails you need if you want to keep the "feel" of that Magpul handguard.. I didn't even use the pressure mounts (I prefer to use either my thumb or index finger on the toggle switch's) but the two small rails give you two perfect sized mounts at 2:00 and 10:00 and that's really all you need! ("Two is One, One is None")

I can't complain, good quality and price for what you get. My complaint is I only needed part of it and now have and extra pressure plate holder and two rails I didn't need. All are excellent quality, but I wish the portions were sold by the piece.

What can I say? I love Magpul. That's a surprise since I usually shun anything plastic, but the products they put out are top-notch. This included. I installed the Magpul moe illumination kit on the Magpul handguard of my ar-15. It was easy, the fit was excellent, and I expect it to last as long as everything else does. The only complaint I have is that the pressure switch is held down with industrial-strength double-sided tape, which is excellent cause you can stick it anywhere you want but on the other hand... it's TAPE. It has yet to fail me, though, so I still gave it five stars. Recommended.

Thank goodness the kit had two mounts in it. Neither fit the pressure switch for my ND3 laser. Had to use a rotary file to modify one to work. Needed to be deeper to seat the switch. Happy ending, I finally got it to work.
