Magpul MagLink Coupler Review
The Magpul MagLink is my favorite mag coupler to date, after trying several others over the years. In my experience using it over the last few months, it has proven to be a durable and versatile solution. Advantages: Robustness: Despite being subjected to repeated use and rough handling in my range bag, it has held up well and hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear. Made in the USA. Provides an extra magazine for those living in states with restrictive magazine capacity laws. Compatible with both MOE Pmag and GEN M3 Pmags. Easy to assemble. Can be configured for both right and left-handed ARs without interfering with control manipulation. Extremely lightweight. Disadvantages: Increased weight: The addition of 60 rounds of ammunition to your rifle will add some weight. Awkward mag changing for some users: Although I haven't found this to be the case, some people have reported difficulties in changing magazines. Your experience may vary.
Works as described
I am thoroughly impressed with the ease of installation and use of the Magpul Mag Coupler. The addition of an extra magazine does add some bulk and weight, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience it provides. To keep debris out and prevent rounds from interfering with reloading, I always use a dust cover on the secondary magazine.
Fix for the apparent short screw issue
A few others and I encountered an issue where the screws wouldn't connect with the internal hex nut when tightening the coupler after connecting the magazines. I found a solution by using a flathead screwdriver to push down inside the hole, causing the hex nut to shift slightly closer to the screw. This allowed the screws to make contact and securely hold the magazines together. It's unclear if this issue occurs during the manufacturing process or not, but I had to do this with all three couplers I purchased. Hopefully, this information helps others who experience a similar issue.
Magnificent MagPul MagLInks
I bought several, once installed, and with minimal training, have been able to manipulate them easily. The MagLink locks the mags together solidly and has had no issues with them loosening. Magpul does it again. Way to go!
Works exactly as advertised
If you want to have 60 rounds rather than 30 rounds and don't mind your gun weighing a little more, this is an excellent option. It is effortless to install, but don't forget to offset the magazines to make sure you don't interfere with ejection.
Best haved used
I have bought many mag couplers over the years, and they're all in a box somewhere. This is by far the best mag coupler I've ever seen or owned. It does exactly what it should perfectly!
Magpul made a solid, tight-fitting, and durable coupler
The "Magpul MagLink Magazine Coupler" holds the magazines tight... Specifically formed for PMAGS(post 1st Gen.), which allows for a reliable lock between the two PMAGS. Again... Magpul made a solid, tight-fitting, and durable coupler for their line of magazines. So if you can't decide whether or not to buy one of the Maglinks, know it's lightweight and allows for a smooth and quick transition from old(out of ammo) magazine to a new one when firing the rifle. I recommend it highly, the price seems to be fine to me, and it just makes things easier, without adding bulk or much weight(depending on how many rounds of ammunition you're carrying in the additional magazine). BUY ONE!!! or two...
locks up solid
I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this product and grabbed one as soon as I could. This piece of equipment locks up solidly and does exactly what it's supposed to-lets me have 60 rounds fed through the most reliable mags to date. No surefire mag for me; I'll keep my pmags!
Magpul is rock solid
As with every other Magpul product I've tried, this one is rock solid. The coupler has notches that fit over the ribbing on your PMAG and screw down to be tight. There isn't a bit of "wobble" between the two mags once you've got it installed. I've read a few people voicing concerns about the price being slightly higher than that of a magazine itself, but after I installed the Maglink, I think it's well worth it. Having a coupler explicitly designed for PMAGS that locks up rock-solid is well worth it for me. My one very minor critique is that I'd like to see something besides flat head bolts to secure the coupler. I would prefer a Phillips head, Allen wrench, Torx, etc. I always seem to mess up the slot on a flat head.
AWESOME!
I am a fan of most all Magpul products because of their quality, which lives up to it! This coupler works with 30 and 40 round Pmags. I have worked as a Gun Smith for over 45 years and have seen about everything on the market, and I would say that Magpul is the best of the best.
solid precision
The Maglink solidly holds two pages together stronger than any other coupler we've handled. Like a rock, with Zero play or flex. In usage: when aligned un-staggered, the separation between coupled magazines places the spent side right up against the open dust cover on milspecAR uppers…i.e., perfect fit. Our team members each roll out with 6 CRYE Magclips, twelve 30rd pmags held in pairs using 6 MAGPUL Maglinks…that's 360 rounds on the belt, plus a single 20rd pmag for pre-engagement maneuverability...ymmv (No affiliation)

Purchase this coupler for attaching a pair 30 round magazines and it performed with no issues.
