If you are going to buy this item for only the Hunter 700 Stock, it's perfect for your needs. You can also put it into other stocks. However, you'll need to be decent with a Dremel tool and have some patience. My rating is based on the product it's made for, even though I purchased it for a different outcome. Now, if Magpul would come out with camo stocks that are rubberized, I'd probably buy one of those.

A significant upgrade for the Remington 700. It's worth getting the Hunter stock to use this magwell conversion! It comes with one Magpul 5-round magazine in .308/7.62, which looks better than the 10-round magazine because it doesn't stick out so much (they're single-stack magazines). It also fits Accuracy International pattern magazines, such as those made by MDT in calibers 308 and 223.

This magpul short action magazine well works great with the hunter stock from Magpul. I tried to make it fit with the Hogue overmolded stock, but it simply does not work. Some may say they got it but they would have ruined their stock to make it work. I luckily stopped before destroying the Hogue stock completely. It feeds perfectly and fits exactly right. I would recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their 700 SA

Fit right into the hunter stock as you would expect it to. The Magpul hunter 700 magazine well is very simple. It seems to be well made. My only complaint is not a big one, but the mag is very tight-fitting, and the release is relatively tight. That is probably much better than being loose. But I do hope after time it smooths out a little. I would not hesitate to buy it again or recommend it. The stock is also very comfortable. I'll likely add a small Harris or similar bipod and a sling a bit later. I have had it since Christmas and have punched paper with it and also hunted with my 700 tactical bull barrel in .308, and I am thrilled with it.

i upgraded the bolt action magazine well at the same time as I did the hunter 700 stock. Before the rifle would barely feed, after the upgrade, it feeds flawlessly! Very happy with the update. Parts seem sturdy and should provide several years of usage. Can't beat it for a budget upgrade!

I normally use the Accuracy International bottom metal on my 700s. This Magpul hunter 700 magazine well works just as well, especially since it goes with the Magpul 700 Hunter stock. I like the fact that it accepts my AICS mags.

The Magpul 700 magazine well is a must-have if you plan on buying the hunter 700 stock. They fit together perfectly, and it works like OEM. There are no doubt better options for other stocks, but this system was designed around the H700, and it shows. Mag drops free, feeds all rounds easily. I have previously used a B&C stock with the Wyatt's DBM setup, and this is exponentially better. I can now escape the need for proprietary mags and buy any AICS, but no reason to go with anything besides the P-Mags.

I received my first Magpul Rem 700 stock around 6 weeks ago and had issues with it. the stock was warped so the barrel was crocked in the barrel channel. I called Magpul and they replaced it in about 3-4 days no questions asked! The replacement worked fine other than I never figured out how the spacer for using factory bottom metal is supposed to fit. I received the magpul 700 magazine well last week and snapped it in place last night. It looks good and works smooth. I have another one on order to try and retrofit into a non-Magpul stock. Russell

The Magpul 700 magazine well Fits perfect in the Magpul Hunter 700 stock. The magazine is stiff at first, but after working it a little bit, it falls free loaded or unloaded. Bolt strips ammo off mag very smoothly, hardly any pressure at all. Just what I was looking for.

My wife bought this Magpul 700 magazine well for my Birthday, and I, with the help of my Dremel, installed it into my Remington 700 VTR 22-250 with original stock...and it works FLAWLESSLY ..I would buy another one if had another Rem. 700...and for the money you can't beat it.

This is a great upgrade to the Magpul 700 Hunter stock. Easy drop-in fit that allows you to use magazines with your rifle. Works well with both the Magpul and AICS branded magazine (.308 & .223). I word of caution though......it DOES NOT work with triggers with straight trigger shoes such as the Timney 517. You could notch out the trigger guard to make the needed room as the trigger guard itself is polymer. Does work as advertised with factory Remington triggers as well as the Timney 510. Mine came with a black magazine release instead of the chrome on as pictures above.

I put this magpul magazine well on my Remington 700 long range. It was a tight fit, which is what you want. Very easy to install didn't have to do any extra work.
