This wrench makes it easy to protect the finish on Leupold standard series rings. On new rings, it does take quite a bit of force to turn them in, so the wrench needs to be held down on the rings to prevent slipping off and damaging the wrench cutout. A little bit of Super-lube on the dovetails before inserting the rings helps to turn them in and prevent loosening up when installed and removed multiple times.

Good product. I don't know what I would have done without it. Used it to mount 30mm Leupold rings on Burris bases. Made mounting very easy and highly recommended.

Works very well, no problem with bent scope tubes

In the past, I've used a wooden dowel (a piece of a broomstick) to turn dovetail rings into their bases, but that requires fastening the top half of the ring to get a tight fit. The Leupold Scope Wrench eliminates this step and makes my scope mounting a quicker, cleaner job. I own a gun shop and do alot of scope mounting for my customers. This tool saves me time which I can use to spend with them.

When mounting scopes in my shop, this tool has sped up installation immensely. I have used this on about ten sets of rings over the past few months, and it looks as good as new.I would recommend this to anyone that installs a lot of dovetail mounts.
