Get Quick Accurate Shots With Leupold's Revolutionary Red Dot Sight
The Leupold DeltaPoint Micro Glock has revolutionized the personal defense and concealed carry concept. The DeltaPoint is a fast red-dot sight, extremely accurate, and built with legendary toughness—all features known in Leupold products. And that all comes in a low-profile, concealable design that is a direct replacement for your rear factory iron sights.
Little and Easily Hidden, But Packs a Powerful Punch
There's nothing like the DeltaPoint Micro on the market. The smallest red dot on the market, it aligns the red dot with your front sight, enabling you to acquire your target fast and naturally while allowing your handgun to retain its sleek, low-profile appearance. This makes it a great fit for everybody—from novices to veterans in the field of shooting.
Unmatched Durability and Versatility
It's built for punishing conditions, and the Leupold DeltaPoint Micro has a fully enclosed system that gives the inside and outside of the sight protection from the likes of dust, moisture, and more. You'll be able to dial in the perfect brightness, delivering crystal clear accuracy no matter what. Plus, its rugged construction means that it will not get in your way when do-or-die time comes.
Perfect for Your Glock or Smith & Wesson M&P
Designed to function on Glock and Smith & Wesson M&P centerfire semi-automatic handguns, this DeltaPoint Micro fits at the same height as your factory sights. These sights are not compatible with Glock or M&P models that are rimfire, MOS models, Smith & Wesson M&P CORE models, or Shield EZ models, which is a bummer. Equipped with this unit, it's just a game-changer.

Greatest thing since sliced bread.
This sight has been a game changer for me, particularly in two significant ways: Accessibility for Older Shooters: As someone who's spent decades using traditional iron sights, this red dot has made a world of difference. There's no need to adjust my head or struggle to locate the dot. When I raise my gun, the dot aligns perfectly with the front sight, enhancing my shooting experience instantly. Plus, if the battery dies, the sight's built-in iron dots, which I've highlighted with bright paint for better visibility, continue to serve well. This feature is incredibly helpful for those of us with aging eyes. Improved Long-Distance Shooting: I've mounted this sight on my rifle for predator and varmint hunting, and it has significantly increased my effective shooting range. It maintains the intuitive feel of iron sights but allows for more precise targeting, akin to reducing the font size on a written page — I can still "write my name across the target," just more finely now. Overall, this sight has not only revitalized my shooting capabilities but also ensured that I can continue to enjoy shooting with confidence and accuracy.
Looks strange, but it works surprisingly well
I installed the DeltaPoint Micro on my Gen5 Glock 17 and it's been an interesting experience. An acquaintance humorously compared its appearance to the "Alien" creature, and admittedly, it does look unconventional. Setting aesthetics aside, the sight performs well, although I'm a bit concerned about the adjustment mechanisms for elevation and windage—they lack detents for tactile adjustments and the dials turn too smoothly, which doesn't inspire confidence. However, the Micro aligns more naturally with my drawing motion compared to higher-profile red dot sights like the Trijicon RMR or Holosun HS507c, which require me to adjust my draw due to their elevated sighting planes. This adjustment has always felt cumbersome, especially after decades of using traditional sights on Glocks like the 19 and 23. The DeltaPoint Micro, in contrast, matches the sighting plane of regular open sights, allowing for instinctive and quick drawing without the need for muscular modifications. I've also acquired a new SCS MOS sight from Holosun, which fits directly onto a MOS Glock slide and aligns closely with the pistol's open sight line, enhancing "muscle memory" during draws. This might make me use the Leupold Micro less, despite its functionality, because the SCS simply looks and feels more natural on the gun. In conclusion, while the DeltaPoint Micro has its quirks, particularly with the loose adjustment dials, its performance has been solid. I'm keeping it on my Glock for now, as its natural sight alignment and overall function outweigh the aesthetic and mechanical concerns. Time will tell if it stands the test of extensive use. For now, I give it 4 stars.
Interesting compromise between compactness and ease of target acquisition
I purchased this optic for my pistol, primarily for pocket carry, after realizing that my macular degeneration made traditional iron sights unusable for me. This optic is exceptionally low-profile and robust due to its enclosed design, making it ideal for everyday carry. It aligns similarly to iron sights, which is beneficial for those accustomed to traditional setups. However, its smaller window does slow down dot acquisition compared to standard-sized red dots. Despite this, I've found that the optic's design allows it to double as a ghost ring sight for close-up engagements, which is a significant advantage in urgent self-defense situations where a perfect stance might not be possible. For medium and long-range targets, the slight delay in sighting is manageable, and the precision it offers at these distances is remarkable—far surpassing my old iron sights. Overall, this is a high-quality, innovative product with excellent support from the manufacturer. It's particularly useful for shooters with vision impairments for range activities, and with an understanding of its slower target acquisition, it's also viable for defensive purposes. I highly recommend this optic, keeping in mind its unique characteristics.
Love it! But needed some 'getting aquainted' time.
I was skeptical when Leupold first introduced this sight; it seemed like just a gimmick. However, my opinion changed after a fellow shooter at the range let me try hers extensively. Convinced of its effectiveness, I acquired the sight for my Glock in May 2023 and have rigorously tested its durability and performance. Here's what I did to test its resilience: Freeze Test: I froze the sight in ice for 5 days. It continued to work, albeit with a dimmer dot while frozen, but returned to full brightness after thawing. Heat Test: After heating it at 100 °F for 5 hours, it still functioned perfectly. Drop Test: Dropping it from 30 feet multiple times only caused superficial damage; the functionality remained intact. Water Resistance Test: Initially, a broken O-ring compromised the water seal, but after replacing it (thanks to prompt service from Leupold), the sight survived submersion in eight feet of water for three days without water ingress. Impact Test: I subjected it to impacts with a hard polymer block to try and disrupt its zeroing. It held zero impressively. Additional Abuse: Various other extreme tests included throwing it and hitting it against walls. It acquired some scratches but continued to work and maintain zero. After transitioning from a Holosun red dot, I've found the Leupold DeltaPoint Micro to be superior for my everyday carry. It's slightly faster at acquiring targets, which is critical in defensive situations. Additionally, its 'ghost ring' feature alone allows for rapid and effective targeting without the dot. Overall, I highly endorse this sight. It's robust, reliable, and enhances my shooting speed and accuracy significantly.
Great sight but may not be the best for defense
I've found that this sight offers some significant advantages along with a few drawbacks, and these are strictly my personal views, so your experience might vary. Pros: The installation is straightforward; no need for a special slide or milling, which should be considered when evaluating its cost. It excels at engaging targets at long distances and maintains dot visibility in bright sunlight. Cons: However, it is slower than iron sights or lasers. While I've managed to reduce my target acquisition time to about a second, my Crimson Trace laser-equipped Glock targets almost instantaneously—crucial for defensive situations. Also, lasers can become invisible in direct sunlight beyond five yards and are ineffective past fifteen yards in the shade. In contrast, the Delta Point Micro remains visible at any range as it does not project light. Choosing the right sight really depends on its intended use. For precise long-range shooting or target practice, I recommend the Delta Point Micro. But for defense, where speed is critical, I'd consider using traditional open sights or a laser unless I can significantly improve my speed with this sight.
